Our 4 day visit to york started when we were warmly welcomed by our hostess at the B&B, we were given friendly advice of where to eat and places to visit, nothing was too much trouble.A B&B not be missed..

Hostess couldn't be more friendly, lovely breakfast, easy walk to city centre. Decor a little old fashioned in the bedrooms but very comfortable. Thank you had a lovely visit would definitely choose again.

This was the last of more than half a dozen B&Bs we stayed at in the UK during our trip. The place made us feel we may have possibly fallen into some sort of "Life on Mars" experience. It was definitely a 70s throwback right down to the carpet and old TV. We lived in the UK in the late 80s and it was like the B&Bs we stayed in then. That said it was not an unpleasant experience. The hostess was friendly and helpful, it was a 15-minute stroll (either along the road or more scenically along the river) to the old walled town and the rooms clean and quiet....

Brilliant location, easy to walk into York day and night, pleasant walk. Nice location overlooking green. We didn't need car at all, which was locked in secure car park safely. Friendly helpful owner. Tasty breakfast, filled us up for the day. Very comfortable bed, slept well, had a lovely weekend. With a little updating of bathroom this would be a five star B&B

The B&B was okay and the lasy who ran it was pleasant enough.

I stayed with my mum and sister for 1 night in December. We had a family room which wasn't en-suite. This was fine as the shared bathroom was next door and seemed okay. However, the toilet was very difficult to flush and took ages to get it to work.

I am not a fussy eater but wasn't that impressed with breakfast. The toast was not cooked well and I was surprised the only cereal on offer was cornflakes or muesli. Not much of a choice.

For 1 night this accommodation was fine but I doubt I would stay again.

The bed and breakfast was good value for money and happy to let us stay for 1 night on a weekend whereas most all B&Bs required a min. 2 night stay.

The owner was helpful before and during our stay but only accept cash payments. The B&B was very clean although dated this was not an issue.

The breakfast arrived quickly and was nice and well cooked. My only small issue was there was no facility to help yourself to juice top ups and sauces had to be asked for.

The location was excellent just an easy 10 min walk to the walls. Parking was available space for 5 cars maximum however the parking space meant some cars were blocked in meaning a wait for people to finish breakfast until you could leave. However the owner was again helpful in assisting.

Overall I would say this B&B was clean and in an excellent location. I would stay here again.
