We've just got back from our first visit to York maze. It has been a fantastic day out. The staff are very welcoming, polite and fantastic with the kids. When we initially were given our map on admission, I thought that we would have done it all in a couple of hours. In fact, we were there for 6 hours. We got there early and had no queues to contend with, walking straight onto many attractions before many visitors arrived. The House of Cornfusion was our favourite! The maze was good and we spent a while in there trying to find our clues and exit! Thee are plenty of picnic tables or grassed areas to sit on. We also had coffee and ice cream from the refreshment stands which were ok, but would be a little expensive for a large family. The weather was kind to us during our visit which was good. The maze opened later (12ish) to allow the paths to dry out from the previous day's rain. We will definitely return next year. We've thoroughly enjoyed our day out and would recommend it.

York Maze is awesome!! So much to see and do, so much to keep kids (old and young!!) for hours!!!!! Food prices are a touch on the steep side, so next time I'd probably take our own picnic. All the staff we met were genuinely friendly and interacted with the children. You really do need a full day to make sure you can get round everything - if we lived closer we'd have a season ticket for sure!!!

An excellent day out, such a lot to do for all ages. We particularly enjoyed the House of Confusion! what an amazing experience! The young staff members were so pleasant and helpful. Just a tip if ordering children's meals - the portion of chips was huge! they were the same size as the portions we ordered for the adults and sad to say, we couldn't eat them all - hate wasting food! Not complaining as the food was excellent, just needn't have ordered the chips for the 3 lady adults as our 2 little ones couldn't manage all theirs! The staff were very conscientious on warning us that the maze was muddy in places and to be careful, after a full days rain the day before. They very sensibly didn't let anyone in until after 12 so as not to 'churn up' the paths but it wasn't bad at all. Everywhere was very clean, no litter and although there were lots of wasps (a problem where ever you go in August) there were wasp traps every where so they were doing their best to help the problem. Can highly recommend this attraction!

A super day out for all the family. The maze itself is fantastic but there is so much more on offer too! Spent a whole day there and hadn't done everything.
Lots of picnic space and places to purchase really good food too. It was busy without seeming overcrowded and the staff were all really friendly. Tractor ride was fab! Enjoyed by children and grandparents alike!
Also, there was the potential for there to be loads of wasps but they had lots of traps set up which really helped.
A great value day out, well worth a visit! We're going again next week!

We had a good day out with an 11 year old and a 7 year old. We come here every August, sometimes twice as the kids like it so much. You need to arrive early and then you have the run of the place without queues that soon form for all the attractions. Its getting a bit expensive but you can save £5 on a family ticket by booking on line. The staff, although young are pleasant and patient.
The only negatives for us were that there are not enough seats for the "old folks" when it gets really busy and that dogs are allowed on the site. We don't mind dogs but where loads of children are playing? - not sure about that. Mostly they were on leads, but some were not and we had to point out to one owner that their dog had just pooped and it needed clearing up.
