This little hotel is right opposite the minster. Its in a great location for sight seeing and shopping. and in the evening all the restaurants and bars. The room I had (10) was small and had no view but the facilities were great. Everything you could have wanted was available. The best thing about this place was the staff. The lady who takes the orders for breakfast must be very well paid as she was so cheery - nothing was too much trouble. I can honestly say that there wasnt a single member of staff I cam across who wasnt really friendly and helpful. They offer fresh milk for tea/ coffee etc in your room too. The valet parking is a great advantage .
Breakfast was lovely. plenty of choice. everything on the buffet was fresh and good quality and hot breakfast cooked to order. The best scrambled egg I've ever had in a hotel. Well done Dean Court. I'll be back for sure.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the front to get a view of the minster. room 10 is tiny and only has a 4 foot bed...

Great hotel with lovely staff. Just be aware that rooms are a little small and some have quite a 'closed in' outlook at the back of the hotel. However, the staff are helpful, friendly and very understanding and the facilities are good. Breakfast offered a variety of options all of which were freshly cooked and tasty.I will definitely be staying again.

The hotel is located just besides York Minster and very close to the rest of main attractions. The staff is very friendly. They have valet parking what makes your life much easier. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast is served downstairs and the quality of the produce is very good. Buffet Continental breakfast and optional cooked breakfast, I had pouched eggs with smoked salmon and it was fantastic. My mum tried the full english breakfast and the portion was too big for her, but surely many other people would be very happy with it.

Room Tip: I asked a room with view to York Minster but as we went the day of strong storms it was a bit noisy.

Visited for a couple of nights & really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is ideally located. Approx 10 mins walk from the station & very easy to find. And then everything else in York is within easy walking distance. I had a single room which admittedly was small. However, it was spotless & for the price, I really don't think you could get a better size of room or location. The tea tray was lovely - well above the standard of other hotels. Breakfast was excellent, and the food in the cafe/bistro area was also good. Wifi worked well throughout the hotel. The only real negative I can find is that the bedroom had no air con. It was quite warm in the room in March - so this would put me off booking during summer months. If you're looking for a place to stay whilst exploring York though, the location is ideal & the staff are friendly.

Everything was as good and more than we had expected. The staff were excellent, nothing was false or forced. The food also excellent. Our room was of a very high standard and spotlessly clean. Its position is perfect for exploring York being adjacent to the Minster. We would definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous property directly opposite York Minster. Cosy & extremely comfortable rooms. Breakfast is delicious served with a warm welcome. I was there on business but understand they have family rooms, that can be booked via the hotel, so planning a trip at Easter to visit the railway & chocolate museums.

Room Tip: Worth paying for a larger room to guarantee a view of the Minster.

We booked in for our 4-day break having driven from Sussex and the service was wonderful. The valet parking was just the ticket, as York is an awkward place to park, and it was a very reasonable price, so we didn't see our car again until Sunday night when it was time to depart.
The staff were both friendly and efficient and the room was extremely nice, although we were at the front of the hotel, so the "partying" people waiting for taxis in the early hours did make their presence felt a bit so perhaps a bit more soundproofing would be a good idea. The hotel was very warm, so we would have liked to have the window open, but the noise stopped this option.

York is a beautiful place to visit and so much of the centre is pedestrianised that it is easy to get around - as long as your feet hold up.

Breakfast was superb - an infinite choice from the buffet and everything you could possible want cooked to order. Efficient service with a smile.
If we are ever up this way again, this is the place we'll come to.

Room Tip: avoid the front of the hotel if possible.
