We stayed here for a long weekend. The bedroom was quite large with a small bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were fresh towels provided every day. There was a flat-screen television and tea/coffee making facilities in the room which had a corner aspect with windows on two sides. One of the windows overlooked the main York to Tadcaster road, but we did not find the traffic noise too intrusive. The hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the railway station and the city centre, convenient for all the attractions that York has to offer.
The only down-side to our stay was a stag-party who checked in on the Saturday and then returned to the hotel at 3.50am after a night on the town, waking us up. The night porter responded to my phone call, but managed to make things slightly worse. To the manager's credit the following morning she removed the charge for our breakfasts from our bill.More
