We enjoyed staying in this lovely cosy apartment with loads of character in a historic hospital building. It was so quiet and peaceful even though it was a short walk to all the attractions of York. The beds were very comfortable and we could not hear a thing at night. There was a supermarket just around the corner and the kitchen included tea, coffee and sugar as well as a starter container of milk. Will definitely be back in the future.
A lovely week in York !!
Our stay was made all the better by having such a lovely cosy base.
Absolutely ideal for 4 people either 2 couples or a family. A 2 minute walk in to the inner city walls and only a few minutes more to York Minster and all the hidden gems, pubs, restaurants, shops and attractions make the County House a perfect location with its own car park.
It is however in a very quiet setting where you can get away from the lively day time activities. Inside everything you need is a available for your stay including a well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water, comfy beds and WiFi to name a few things. It's a very present clean apartment beautifully lit at night and we will certainly be back in the future
We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 small kids for 7 nights. The apartment is in the perfect location, city centre yet peaceful. It is fully equipped with everything you might need, clean and pleasantly decorated. An ideal accommodation for a stay in York. Thanks for a great stay.
Lovely apartment in an ideal location right next to the castle walls. The rooms are bigger than they appear in the photographs and the whole apartment is tastefully decorated. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a short stay with our two young boys and had a wonderful time. The location is superb, a beautiful old landmark building within yards of the city walls. The apartment itself couldn't have a better vantage point for stunning views over towards the Minster, and is light, airy and extremely comfortable. And having dedicated, secure parking so close to the city centre is amazing. The boys absolutely loved the quirky layout - the little flights of stairs leading up to the different rooms upstairs, and the internal balconies. We came primarily to take the boys to the National Railway Museum, which is a must-visit destination for anyone - as is the lucky cat trail! If you're planning a visit to York then you really couldn't find a better situated, well equipped or comfortable base for exploring, or a more relaxing place to relax in at the end of the day. Many thanks indeed to Sandra for all her help while we were there. We are already looking at dates for a return visit!
