Well maintained hotel,Rooms very clean and great nights sleep. Staff very warm and friendly.
Hotel ideally situated to York and very accessible to the park 'n' ride which is very frequent and cheaper than car parks

Having previously stayed numerous times here in the past, we again chose to stay two nights for the beginning of the February half term holiday. We paid £58 for Sunday and Monday night via the Premier Inn website.

Check in on arrival was simple and quick. I had called the previous day to request a room on the upper floor as this is my little boy's preference and he was very pleased that we got one there. The rooms in this Premier Inn are on two floors (Ground and First Floor).

Also to bear in mind especially for families with babies and young toddlers, this Premier Inn does not have baths, just showers. In the past we have taken along a baby bath which has sat in the shower tray to bath our son in the evenings. Now he is older, he is able to take a shower.

We ate dinner on the first evening at the adjacent Dormouse Pub which is usually very good, however on this occasion we were left slightly disappointed with our meal and service (food was lukewarm/cold and slow service and pricey for what we got) and chose to eat in York centre on the second evening.

Breakfasts (£8.25 pp for full breakfast) on both mornings were excellent with great choice of cereals, juices, milks, breads, pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt to choose from, as well as ordering as much of the cooked breakfast items on offer. Service was excellent.

This Premier Inn has a free on site car park with ample spaces available.

A short cut across the car park towards the main road is a bus stop which takes you into the centre of York. The bus fare is approx £7.40 return for 2 adults and one child into York centre on the No.2 bus Rawcliffe Bar. This bus journey also stops right outside the entrance to the National Railway Museum on Leeman Road for all those train enthusiasts!

We enjoyed our stay once again and will not doubt be back in the not too distant future.

Hotel exactly what you'd expect for a Premier Inn: clean and comfortable.

The hotel is away from the main road and so little traffic noise can be heard. A pub/restaurant (The Dormouse) is located next to the hotel. The pub has a country feel to it (think table numbers written on coloured wooden spoons) but the price of a meal is not cheap. A six minute drive takes you to the Clifton Moor Retail Park with a wider range of dining choices. And of course there's York centre as well.

Would highly recommend using the Park and Ride to get into York itself. This is a three minute drive away and for £2.70 per adult ( children are free) you can be driven straight into the heart of York and so avoid costly parking fees. You can save 30p per journey by getting a travel card from the Park and Ride office and topping it up with the expected cost of the journeys for the length of your stay. A £5 returnable deposit is payable first however. A park and ride stop is available within walking distance however the travel card option is not available when alighting there and cash prices may vary.

Due to its location, proximity to the park and ride and ample free on site parking I would recommend this over Premier Inn's York city centre hotel choices.

You get what you pay for. if you want no frills hotel which is clean but basic you will not go wrong staying here.Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast ok with own room in hotel.Location spot on for getting into york just far enough out not be noisey, ample parking even with full hotel.
And the beds got to be the most comfortable ive known for an hotel and we have stayed in hotels that cost considerably more than a premier inn.

Just stayed 2 nights here and found it wonderfull in all areas. A bit different to many premier inns in that it has its own breakfast area within the building, and all other meals taken are from an on site pub named the Doormouse which is ok but a limited menue and a bit pricey, ie cod and chips,£10-95. However come out of the hotel and turn left and 2 miles down the road there is another premier inn with a Beefeater resturaunt which was great.. The staff here are great as usual and a bus stops accross the road eveyy 10 mins to York town centre which is about 2 miles away.

Room Tip: upostairs rooms at back are very quiet
