Last minute booking so perhaps we were given the worst rooms despite being charged >£200 per room. Location ok but well out of the centre of town if you don't have a car. Rooms we had were located in an old part of hotel. Reasonably comfortable sleep but very tired decor. Bed valance ripped and shabby. Lift ancient and spooked us when it stopped and opened between floors. Staff ok but overwhelmed by a wedding and a large tour group.
Restaurant would not accept additional bookings until 9 (despite being half empty) but would accept an order (using the same restaurant menu) if we sat at a table in the adjacent bar.
Overall, we were surprised Marriott would put their name to such a placeMore
