We walked in, stood for about 5 mins, went to the bar, ignored by a member of staff there, walked back to the entrance and eventually helped ourselves to menus and found a seat for ourselves. Eventually a member of staff arrived to serve other customers so I walked over to tell her we were there. She said she knew but she was on her own.
Chose food from the special menu - very limited choice if you're a vegetarian as my husband is. They didn't allow any swapping (fair enough), nor would they allow us to add any extra toppings, which seems odd when they would be paid extra for.
When I went to the salad bar I was appalled to see slimy old cucumber, crumbs of tortilla chips with no whole chips at all, virtually every container had some other food dropped in it and the sauce spoons were caked in old sauce. When I mentioned it to another waitress (so the first one wasn't on her own!), she looked bored and inconvenienced but stomped off to hange the cucumber, muttering that it couldn't be that bad because they had only opened 40 mins earlier - maybe they had, but that salad bar had not been replenished or cleaned for quite some time!
I was really disappointed with this visit. We use Pizza Hut often with our young daughter and have been to restaurants in Newcastle, Chester and London, always with great service and lovely food for the price. This is one I'll never return to!!!
