“A lot of fun!”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

I thought it was such a great experience, and it was so entertaining and at a great price too, definitely worth the money. Love the fact that they always get the public involved (usually to embarrass you, so you need a good sense of humour!) and the staff are wonderful. You learn such a lot about the history of York too which was very interesting, and the effects can be so gruesome and life-like! The atmosphere is excellent, and I'll admit some parts, like the witch trial and the hall of mirrors, gave me goose bumps!! Will certainly be visiting again, was a great day out and thoroughly enjoyed it!

“Scarey but fun.”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Went here on the 12th August with a 9 & 11 year old. Really enjoyed the experience, but it was a little scary for the kids, although they made it around. The staff were excellent at the role play and although it was scary and gruesome in places it was fun. Worth the money, but be prepared if you have younger kids.

Great way to get a humourous and interesting history of York. Loved that they involved the public, loved the actors, loved the lot!!
There's nothing to dislike about this, but you need a sense of humour and be prepared to get involved!

“The Best of the Dungeons”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

All of the dungeon attractions have there own uniqueness and we have been in all of them, in Britain. The York Dungeon, as a whole attraction, is by far the best.

From Clifford's Tower to a witch trial we were enthralled in the attention to detail, atmosphere, audience participation and the actors. The children loved every second of their journey through 2000 years of York's gruesome history and demanded a second visit before our journey home.
