“A beautiful background to York Minster”
Reviewed 21 August 2012

Just behind the Minster is this green sward surrounded by imposing old houses. A great place to have a picnic after a days sightseeing. Afterwards visit the Treasurers House or De Grays Court a short walk away.

“Located behind the Minster”
Reviewed 5 July 2012

Managed by the York Minster, it is to the north side of York Minster. Easy to get to whilst escaping the crowds from the narrow streets of York.

It offers magnificent views of the Minster and is also home to the Cathedral Library.

“At the rear of York Minster & just as beautiful”
Reviewed 1 July 2012

This place ably complements that icon that towers over it. A park that is open during the day for people to go for a quiet getaway from the toils of the world or to meet friends for chat or a sandwich.

You can't get many better settings either for it - with the York Walls behind you and York Minster in front.
