“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2012 via mobile

With a half pint of ale before the tour and a half pint after included in the price, this was a fun and interesting tour! Our guide and barman was very knowledgeable about the brewery. The bar itself where you start and end is very cosy and you can buy the ale for gifts as well as sample! Well worth a visit when in York.

“For true beer fans!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2012

This was brewing on a very small scale. The guide was a young gentleman who was very informative and pleasant telling us the story of brewing in yorkshire and how the beer is made. There was not much to see as this brewery consists of two rooms where they store and brew the beer. If you love your beers then this would be for you especially as you get a voucher for a beer to try at the end of the tour.

“For the hubby”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2012

I enjoyed the tour, seeing how the ale was made, the guide was very good and funny. My husband enjoyed the ale tasting (he had mine) I was given orange juice instead. Thoroughly enjoyed our time.

If you like Ale then this is the place to visit a pint or two half pints is included in the entry fee which is well worth it. It is a working brewery so there is always something to watch.

“Excellent brewery tour - we did it for my 30th birthday and had a great time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2012

Twelve of us did the brewery tour and would strongly recommend. Our tour guide (can't remember his name but he had dreadlocks and looked fresh out of Woodstock!) was very informative and it was a fascinating tour. He answered all questions we threw at him! Great way to spend a couple of hours and we stayed for a couple of pints afterwards..
