Stayed for the bank holiday weekend with friends (2 tents & a caravan). The site was very 'tired' and looked scruffy. I thought that the facilities were adequate, but only just - with only around 10 or so pitches occupied, I'm guessing it would be manic if the site had been full. Pitch spaces seemed restricted as people with caravans and awnings were using adjacent pitches as parking spaces. The location was good for a walk into York following the river Ouse - wear boots unless it has been dry for a considerable time. The local village has some nice pubs and a little Co-op shop. A disappointing site, which could be much improved with some TLC and a good tidy up.
