We go every year at Christmas for the pantomime, and every year it is fantastic, never been disappointed and always a great view. Cannot comment on other types of shows but we wouldn't want to go elsewhere now

We go to the Grand Opera House quite ofen. It offers many and varied artists and is a great venue and not too expensive

This show was absolutely fabulous. The whole family went (from grandchildren to grandparents) and we all enjoyed it so much, joining in the singing, clapping along too. Its a great theatre that I likened a little to the Palladium in London with so much character. We are very lucky in that our grandson is Stage Manager at the Grand Opera House and he gave us a backstage tour prior to the show which was very interesting. There's such a lot of history attached to the building and in view of the limited space they have backstage, we think they do marvellous productions, just amazing. The backstage tour certainly opened our eyes to just how hard all the backstage staff work too when they put these productions on and it made the whole show even more enjoyable for us.

We went to see Chicago on 22/04/2012. It was amazing.

Tupele Dorgu was outstanding as Velma and Stefan Booth was incredible as Billy Flynn.

It was a fantastic show and I would go and see it tommorrow at the drop of a hat !!

The Grand Opera House York is a tired theatre which needs a re-fit. Your bum goes numb on the seats after 20 minutes and there is only one toilet cublicle in the mens toilets. How crazy !

I noticed on the tickets I paid a £1 contribution towards restoration. I hope they use this money soon.

A crowd of us ( all women) went to see this show, and we said what a brillant performance it was. Several of us have seen this show before, so we appreciated the limited space on the stage that the performers had.
Good Show - a must see.
