This museum is great because you get to learn the history of chocolate, and try how chocolate was made years and years ago. Then you get to make your own chocolate lolly and try truffles!! Our tour guide Carl was great!

Hi there

We want the experience to be as engaging as possible when learning all about why York is the city of Chocolate. We are delighted that you enjoyed your time at the attraction- it's always a bonus when you get to eat chocolate!

We will make sure your comments are passed on to Carl.

Our daughter recommended York’s Chocolate Story we were staying in York for 3 nights so decided to give this a try and it was brilliant our tour guide was Joe (I think) he was absolutely superb very informative and a genuinely nice guy answered all our questions and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable, very interesting. At the end we made chocolate lollies they were delicious we also got some scrumptious truffles as we were the last tour of the day....definitely would recommend a trip here

The tour a guides are well done. You travel through different rooms with a chapter in the chocolate of York at each stop. The 14 euros seem pricing but it was worth it for us. You get a couple of treats at the end enjoy

Really enjoyed our visit here today, but shocked at the price for a start but once inside it’s worth every penny, the staff are so knowledgeable especially Carl who was extremely good and made it so easy to understand how chocolate is produced

Found the tour very informative and interesting. Tasters were cool too! Just gave us a chance to understand the different types and flavours throughout the years. We also got the chance to watch chocolate being made and we made our own decorated lollies!
The staff were very approachable, it was just a bit noisy as there were lots of school kids around.
