We visited on a wet, cool day and were extremely lucky to dodge the showers. Use the very clean and new toilets at the entrance before buying your ticket since there are none in the gardens. This is not a place to take someone who walks with difficulty but wheelchair access to many areas is good. There were surprises that made us smile and the June garden was lovely. We did find out why it's called Breezy Knees since the site is exposed and the contrast between this and a walled garden became obvious. We will return on a sunny day in July to enjoy the roses and herbaceous borders and look forward to seeing the September garden at the appropriate time too. Staff were friendly - didn't try the café on this visit.
