This welcoming cottage is everything you could hope for. We can only reiterate the previous good comments. We loved our stay and would certainly book the cottage again should we return to York.

Mary was a perfect hostess fresh milk and homemade brownies on our arrival. Key collection very easy great to park the car outside and be able to walk to any of the many sights of York. We used it as a base for a family wedding like a home from home very comfortable and enough space for 6 adults

Love the location of the house,it was really homely and Mary baked us some cakes when we first arrived.Our stay was for 2 weeks,our daughter loved the room at the top of the house,so much that she did not want to come home.Thank you Mary for renting out this little jem.

The location was excellent. We enjoyed not having to drive the car. Mary provided us with a parking permit allowing us to park outside the house. great to have access to a washing machine too.We enjoyed having a living room to sit in as well. The stairs were a real death trap, very steep and narrow.

Great little house in this great little city. Very convenient yet quiet location. You do not need a car to stay here and enjoy York. But parking is no problem if you do bring a car.
The house is very homely with lots of nooks and crannies and bits and bobs. Many holiday homes are a bit bare - not this one. It feels much loved. Beds and sofas are all comfy. Great to have 2 showers and both were excellent. Lots of big fluffy towels provided. Plenty of room and equipment for 4 of us. Mary was very welcoming and made us a lovely cake on our arrival even though we were only staying a few days.
There is so much to do and see in York it is great to be out and about but also great to stay in and relax at Waverley St with lots of games to play and books to read. The backyard is a perfect little flowery bower in the mornings when the sun shines. You can hear the Minster bells and not a lot else. Bliss.

We had a lovely holiday in York. Picked up the key from Mary, who showed us round and had made some cakes for us. Explained the parking situation and how everything worked. Easy to walk into York so we didn't need the car so much, as there so much to do in the city. There were plenty of books to read and jigsaws to do in the evening.
