Stayed there when I was working in York.

Typical Premier Inn, but its close to the railway line..

Parking fine, close to a good Indian,Chinese and fish and chip shop...

Not my 1st choice ib York, but acceptable

This is a nice hotel, lovely clean room with very comfortable beds. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Our room had a nice flat screen tv on the wall too.
The Beefeater restaurant is nice and the food was good however the service was poor and impersonal. One young girl appears to be the waitress for the whole restaurant and she remained polite and helpful and was clearly doing her best but service just lacked attention to detail. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was a shambles, the same poor staff from the night before were rushed out of the place. We waited an hour for a cooked breakfast and the table next to us that was seated after us was served before us. A complete shambles. The restaurant staff are lovely there just needs to be more of them. I felt sorry for the girl, she did a really good job and without her it would all fall apart I am sure.
My overall experience is a good one and I would stay here again as its ideally located for the park and ride. They just need to sort out the staffing in the restaurant.

Room Tip: We had a room at the side by the ringroad and its was nice and quiet, slight road noise but nothing...

Excellent service, check in very quick and helpfull. The room was extremely clean and still smelt new, i think it was re-furbished in march this year. Very spacious and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay! All the staff were extremely nice, always smiling and offering there knowledge of york. We had our breakfasts in the ajoining beefeater restaurant on both mornings of our break. The service was perfect and the quality of the food was fabulous! If you have the full breakfast you can have porridge or a good selection of other cereals, toast, crumpets, muffins, fresh mixed berries, fresh fruit salad, yougurts, plenty of juices, all followed by eat as much as you like cooked bacon, sausages, hash browns, eggs done anyway you like, fresh tomatoes, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms &beans! Excellent value, and easy to visit york centre!

A group of 4 adults booked 2 rooms & managed to get the £29 room deal for both nights.

Very east to find on the A1237

Quickly booked in & was told everything we needed to know, by the very polite & friendly receptionist, rooms were spotless & bedding clean, extra pillows were there if needed, all very warm & cosy. When we past reception we were always asked how we were, is there anything that they could do, did we sleep well.

There is a Beefeater restaurant next door, a Co-op if you need any newspapers, & 2 other places to eat including a fish & chip shop.

Very close to the Rawcliff park & ride, we got a group ticket £7.40 return for 4 adults, 15 mins into York drops you in Museum street, 1st stop is the Railway Museum.

We would defiantly book this Premier inn again & York is beautiful!!

Room Tip: Look for the £29 room deals

for my birthday me and my friend decided to go away for the weekend to York. we spent a day at the Bannatyne Spa next to the premier inn before we went to our room. on entering the reception the member of staff was munching on an apple which is very unprofessional. at the reception we said that we were there to check in. we gave our details and then the lady broke the computer and said that we would have to come back in half an hour. there was a very small table to sit at in the corner so we had a bit of a look at some tourist information while we waited for the computer to re-boot. once it had we tried again to commence check-in. the woman said my card was declined, in all my years i have never ever had my card declined. she then said we would have to come back with sufficient funds, but not giving us any clue as to where we would find a cashpoint. on our return we handed over the money and yet again she said the computer had crashed, so we were to come back in an hour. she didn't even offer us a drink next door or anything it was only after i had said we will get something to eat that she then said 'oh yeah we have a pub adjoined to the hotel'. since the poor efforts of staff by this point we decided we definitely didn't want any more issues and found a chip-shop not far from the hotel. on our yet later return we entered the reception and yet again the lady was scoffing some sweets. FINALLY managed to get to our room. it wasn't the twin room that we had booked but there was a double bed and a camp bed. the room was alright, like most other premier inn rooms. it was quite quiet which was nice. we went out for the night into town for some cocktails and on our return, there was no checking if we had a room there and the door that was supposed to be securely locked, was able for anyone to just walk in and up to any room. after returning home i complained to the premier inn about our stay and heard absolutely nothing back from them! disgraceful!

Ideal for the park and ride at Rawcliffe Bar which took us into the town centre in approx. 15 minutes -£2:50 return and under 16s free. Ideal facilities at the hotel with a Beefeater Grill next door and Fish and Chip Restaurant, Indian Restaurant on the same site. Quiet yet next to the A1237. Lots of parking space which is CCTV monitored. Helpful, friendly staff and nice size rooms. Hairdryer provided which is a bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the third floor, there is a lift and saves you getting the noise of those above you. We...

A nice premier inn with a newly refurbished room with a massive TV!, a very nice lady on reception, very helpful and welcoming. room very clean and warm, very comfortable bed, the hotel is one of the better ones. would stay again, however, the next door Beefeater was a total disappointment, the meal was not up to the normal standard I am used to, the soup (mushroom) was bland in taste and very small portion, I recieved x 3 very small bread slices with it and a portion of butter no bigger than half of my little finger, the steak was in 2 bits one large with a knife cut in it and a small bit attached with connective tissue, no sauce was offered or given, one of the worst meals I have had in a long time, I will not be eating here again, there is a local fish and chip upmarket eaterey next door, I will eat there next time.
would stay at the hotel again
