Stayed here for two nights. We paid £25/pp/pn included breakfast. It is amazing price for its location - just 10mins from the York Minster. However, if I knew about the things around I would rather pay more and stay elsewhere.
Also Expedia said it is a hotel. No, it isn't. It is a pub with the rooms over.
The room was nice presented, the housekeeping service was provided. The "ensuite" was so small, really cold and the shower head and tiles were mouldy with bad odor.
The heating in the room was adjusted automatically. It was cold outside and rained and we came earlier in the afternoon from sightseeing and our room was really cold and we couldn't switch on manually, only what we could do was waiting till the programme switch on automatically.
We had room no.4 (twin), the window was over the street, so it was very noisy whole night due the busy road.
The breakfast was tasty but limited choice of food. If you don't like English breakfast like me, you can eat toast or cereals. The bowls for cereal breakfast are too small, the small glass of orange juice is provided.
The staff were nice and friendly.More
