We were expecting it to be actually scary on the ghost hunt tour. But it wasn't at all. It was more of a comedy than a ghost tour. We did the tour on 31.07.20. The only thing that was scary was the thunder and lightning. Definitely not worth the money.

During our visit to York, we were recommended that tour. Ghost hunting was scary, exciting and memorable. A strong recommendation if you visiting to York. The pictures in this post are related to the stories, but how you have to figure it out for yourself.

I booked this for myself and two eldest sons (14 & 11) having done it a few years ago. They absolutely loved it and were captivated by the stories and loved the dark, dry humour- laughing almost throughout!!! There was a great atmosphere and rapport!
The gentleman leading the tour played a great character and made for a great hour which flew by! Our kids were buzzing about this for the following days wanting to know more about its gruesome past.
Having done the Dungeons, Museums, Jorvik, and other sights, this was their favourite one (and mine) and they found them fantastic too!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!!

Great way to spend an hour. Host was fun and made us all laugh. Best bit was the southern couple who complained loudly that they thought "they would see real ghosts"
