Very tastefully renovated modern cottage. Exceptional throughout. Comfortable beds. Gorgeous garden. Excellent food at the adjacent pub.
I recommend this cottage for sure.

“Wonderful, luxurious cosy cottage”

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful master bedroom, well decorated other bedrooms, well-stocked modern kitchen and a cosy living room with widescreen TV. Everything perfectly clean. Great gastro pub next door. Stayed with some friends for a wedding weekend and the other regret was not having enough time to spend in the cottage.

“Beautiful cottage on lovely location...”
Reviewed 27 April 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We booked quite last minute and weren't sure if the cottage would be too far from York which was the main reason for the trip. The location is perfect, an easy drive into York, and also to the coast for Scarborough, Whitby etc. The cottage is warm, cosy and beautifully furnished and in a lovely village next to the pub which we didn't get time to visit :(
Jenna made the booking process so easy and quick and there is lots of local information in the cottage. Sadly a short trip but we would love to return and explore the surrounding area. I would highly recommend Honeysuckle Cottage!

“perfect cottage”

we stayed here for on weekend in Oct/nov 2014 and we were very pleased from the moment we arrived! we collected the keys for the cottage from the pub just in front and everyone was very nice, we were shown to the cottage and told where we could park cars. We also asked at this point to make a reservation in the pub for the Saturday evening they managed to squeeze us in even though fully booked so we had to have a table slightly earlier, not a problem though as we probably should have booked in advance not knowing how busy it would be.

The cottage itself is lovely, decorated very well and has a very homely/warm feel to it. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and everything was very clean and well kept.

i stayed in the master bedroom which was perfect! the bed very comfy and the walk in shower just made the room even better! the main bathroom was also very good with an amazing bath!! the other 2 rooms were also a good size.

the living room was nice with nice large sofas and also a sofa bed! again all very nice and a large tv in the living room. the cottage also has a small outdoor area with seating which was really nice overlooking the garden.

We had dinner in the pub on the Saturday night, all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was perfect! i would recommend going to the pub at least once if you are visiting the area. you can also order food to be delivered to the cottage from the pub which i thought was a nice touch as it means on the night you arrive you can order food in rather than having the hassle of cooking.

We liked the cottage so much that we already have our next weekend there booked! i would recommend this cottage for couples, weekends with friends or family's as im sure all would be very happy with it!

“Great cottage - Perfect base for trips around Yorkshire”

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the cottage. We booked very last minute but everything was prepared for our arrival. The cottage is great. Warm, comfortable and well equipped. The pub next door (where you collect the keys from) was perfect for a hearty dinner and a nice pint. The cottage is perfectly placed for trips to York, the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby etc. A lovely way to start the new year and thoroughly recommended.

“Perfect country getaway”
Reviewed 12 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

This cottage was exactly what we were hoping for and its charm exceeded our expectations! Nestled in the Howardian hills countryside, and tucked in behind a small village's pub, it gave us the peaceful, quiet getaway we were looking for during the holidays. Despite the area being chilly in December, everyone associated with the cottage and the pub was warm and pleasant and the cottage itself was so snug and comfortable, neither myself nor my husband nor either of my boys wanted to leave! Fortunately, with 3 bedrooms all meticulously decorated, plenty of heating, a luxurious bathroom, a wood burning stove and food available from next door, we didn't have to! However, the cottage is also ideally situated for day trips to York/Leeds, the North Moors, the coast and lots of heritage sites. Jenna provides a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering and lots of local information on places to eat, shop, visit and get supplies. Our stay was delightful, and I can think of no higher compliment than my husband remarking "we have to come back here in the summer!" Thank you!

Reviewed 10 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

What a gem of a place. Honeysuckle cottage is located behind the village pub ( also owned by the cottage owners). This really is a lovely cottage done up to a high standard yet retaining all of its cosy cottage charm. From the well equipped kitchen to the amazing bathroom with its roll top bath and underfloor heating - Jenna has made every effort to ensure the cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need for the perfect holiday. All added up to a great birthday weekend - thank you.
