Lovely quaint cottage, we had a very comfortable 2 nights here. Well stocked with toilet roll, washing up liquid etc. Village was tranquil with lovely gardens. Everyone very friendly.
Would definitely return and highly recommend.
Had a fantastic time in north yorks - it's my new favorite English county. This cottage was excellent - we wouldn't hesitate to rebook if we were lucky enough to find ourselves back in the U.K.
Stayed here recently for 2 nights with family. Cottage is very clean and has everything you could need. Lovely log burner with plenty logs. 3 bedrooms double is spacious however door needs fixed doesn't close properly.
Twin room is a little on snug size ok for children though. Big dining area and snug lounge area also. Bathroom is lovely however i feel safety pin in plug for basin is not the best of ideas also just needs fixed! Daughter and husband cut finger trying to use this.
Prosecco in fridge is a lovely welcome .
Overall lovely cottage with everything you could need for short midweek break to a weeks break. Food in pub lovely a little pricey to eat there all the time . A discount deal with cottage would increase sales i feel.
It was a lovely cottage, I would definitely recommend it, and the pub next door was great, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable too.

The cottage was clean and everything in order on arrival. We had booked lunch at the Blacksmiths Arms next door. The food and service was so good we returned the following evening. A couple of minor niggles with the cottage prevents this being a 5 star. The shower didn't seem to function properly until we read the notes regarding low water pressure, which meant that the tap in the sink had to be running for a few minutes to enable the shower to work. After a rainy day in York we couldn't get the log burner to light properly, more kindling would have helped. Finally, although the main lounge with wide screen TV is great, the TV with the DVD player was in the adjoining dining area. Overall though, we experienced a great stay and were welcomed by a bottle of prosecco in the fridge, a lovely touch.
Very tastefully renovated modern cottage. Exceptional throughout. Comfortable beds. Gorgeous garden. Excellent food at the adjacent pub.
I recommend this cottage for sure.
Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful master bedroom, well decorated other bedrooms, well-stocked modern kitchen and a cosy living room with widescreen TV. Everything perfectly clean. Great gastro pub next door. Stayed with some friends for a wedding weekend and the other regret was not having enough time to spend in the cottage.
