7 Precentors Court was just perfect! It's a few seconds away from York Minister..so nice to hear the chiming of the bells! The house itself was great..the layout was across four floors so perfect for us as we were a family of 6.Great contact with the owner..really friendly and welcoming would recommend this as a perfect base for a York trip.
Great accomodation for 4 of us getting together from different parts of the UK. Mark and Anne were really helpful. Great location and easy access to York and it's many delights. Great meals in no 8 bistro and The Star Inn. Would recommend the completely free City tour run by volunteers.
The property is immaculate & in a fabulous location. Lots of room for 4 of us. Mark, the owner, could not have been more helpful & accommodating. I would never stay anywhere else in York.
Just had 2 nights stay at 7 Precentors Court with my 3 sisters. The house is really special, because of the beautiful decor and the fantastic location. The Minster is literally at the end of the road, and so the city is a very short walk away. Despite being so central the house is very peaceful, being tucked away on a cul-de-sac. The kitchen is well equipped, and would be great for longer stays as well as a weekend break. The owner Mark was very accommodating, he was there to welcome us when we arrived and gave us the tour of the house and showed us how everything worked. We had a wonderful weekend and wished we could have stayed longer.
This was such an amazing property we were sad to have to leave for home. It is a glorious four-storey town house, beautifully decorated and appointed, right in the centre of York yet not at all noisy. Mark the owner was an absolute star and couldn't have been more helpful. We are already thinking of dates for our next visit. It was so good I was tempted not to post this review, to keep this amazing place to ourselves! We go to York once or twice a year but this was our favourite place to stay yet.
The house could not be more central, yet is quiet and peaceful. Even the minster bells, very audible through the day, are silent between 8pm and 8am. The house is warm and welcoming, well-appointed with good beds, a large comfortable sitting-room, two spacious bathrooms and a convenient kitchen. Mark, the owner, welcomed us with chocolate cake and wine (our kind of a chap!) and was helpful and informative about local services and attractions. We would be very happy to have the chance to return.
