4 of us stayed here in the self catering accommodation. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming. He gave us a comprehensive tour of the accommodation, highlighting everything of note (including complementary shortbread!). The fridge was also stocked with the essentials to get us going.
The location is great - set in a secluded hamlet, with fairly large grounds. The garden is all fenced in, which is great for pets or children. There is also plenty of parking.
The rooms were stocked with tourist information guides, as well as maps of the local area and a hand-drawn map showing a short local walk. The rooms themselves were tastefully decorated and comfortable. The only minor negative is that the stairs to the upstairs apartment are external. This was a very minor inconvenience at breakfast times, although I imagine it could be more annoying in poor weather.
The owners had an excellent local knowledge and were very accommodating, even looking after our dogs one day.
