Stayed here last weekend after a last minute trip to York. Reception staff are very helpful. The room was ready before the stated check in time. There is a secure car park straight in front of the hotel. There's a £10 surcharge for this. The room itself wasn't huge but for an overnight stay it was fine. The bed was very comfy and the room was clean. The bathroom was also very clean and functional. All in all very good value. Would stay here again.

Lovely hotel right around the corner from the city centre. My room was large and very clean. The staff were friendly and were able to recommend places to eat nearby. Brilliant quality for the price you pay. I would def stay here again !

Stayed here on business recently, the hotel staff were always presentable, friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was good and felt like a more expensive experience. I didn't try the evening meals, however the staff had no problems sorting out utensils and plates for my takeaway that I brought back to the hotel.

The room was clean, and the cleaners did a good job each day. On a number of occasions I left my ipad, iPhone and money out on the table and nothing was missing when I returned from work.

If your looking to stay in York stay here!!

This hotel is around 3minutes walk in to York centre, walk out of the hotel and turn right. Here you'll will find loads of shops and attractions. (Even a tesco express)
If your looking for somewhere to dine for an evening meal, book in at el gaucho 2mins from the hotel, this is an amazing steak house!!! Check out their website.

The hotel is very modern and very up to date, hotel staff where welcoming. Only thing we had a problem with was the parking for the hotel this was £10 per night, and this only covered you from 3oclock check in to 11am check out, parking in york is expensive, we paid another £10 to leave the car in the car park for the day whilst in York.

Also the hotel is about 4 miles away from the York designer outlet...my fave place!!!

A good hotel close to attractions, we paid £88 for one night.

Would recommend.

Stayed for one night because I could not get into the Hilton where I had booked my Son and his mates into.
Fab central location to the city - within walking distance of the bars, resturants and clubs.
The hotel is very trendy, it has a small reception a dining area and a bar. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The best bit about the rooms was the big, soft fluffy white towels - lush - I love a good towel !!
We had a twin room, comfy beds, big plump pillows, the duvets were a little small. We thought that there was a lot of noise from outside but we actually hadn't closed the window properly - it seemed like it didn't quite fit -
Overall a fab stay and would reccommend it to anyone.

stayed at this hotel on Friday night with my partner. We booked last minute & chose this hotel for its price - £66 for one standard double room with a central location.

The staff were pleasant and professional upon checking in, although there was a mix up with our rooms the problem was resolved quickly. We did ask for a room with a nice view and somewhere near the top half of the building but we got a room on the first floor looking onto the bins outside what looked like the kitchen downstairs.
We were surprised that parking was an additional charge of £10 per night which would be something to think about if its £10 per day and your maybe staying for a few days it could get pricey! Other optional extras like breakfast at around £10 extra per person, (we ended up going to weatherspoons across the road) no ironing facilities in the room and although an ice bucket was supplied I would guess it would cost you to get ice in it!

The room was upon first inspection clean but when you look a little deeper it could have done with a thorough clean in places like the headboard, the cups in the toilet and under the sink where the towels were kept.
It was cold in the room and the heating facilities weren't the best with drafty windows which also let alot of traffic noise in. My partner added that he did not like the lumpy clogged up duvet and that the television was tiny for the size of the room. There was also no fridge in the room, the decor was fresh and modern and the bathroom had a great shower with clean fresh towels.

Overall the room was average for the price and I probably would have preferred to stay at a premier inn were I would have got a warm nights stay, with parking and breakfast all included for around £50

This hotel is a fairly short walk from the centre of York, although the immediate area is not very picturesque. It is modern and minimalist and when we arrived the restaurant was busy and people were clearly enjoying themselves. However, our room was so cold and the noise from the road so loud that I assumed the window was open and immediately went over to close it. It was not open. The room was not heated (a disappointing and common feature of hotels in a time of rising energy costs) and despite turning on the only heater (a plug in electric one) and leaving it on all night, the room never really warmed up and the traffic noise continued throughout. So little or no sleep - whilst fully dressed! The bathroom was pleasant and the shower hot. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your comments.

I am very sorry to hear that the room temperature was not to your liking and that the noise from the main street prevented you from sleeping as you would have liked.

Bedroom windows are usually left partially open prior to check-in to enable the room to air, and from what you have experienced, I believe it is possible that the window was not closed/closed correctly by staff prior to check-in and was consequently left ever so slightly open - which would explain the level of noise experienced and the room temperature.
