Stayed for 1 night - the owners and staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The room was lovely and clean, very comfortable and the en-suite was lovely and clean. The food was brilliant in the evening and at breakfast we had a full English breakfast but continental was available if required. We couldn't fault our stay and will be booking again shortly. This is definitely worth it's 4 stars.

The Coach and Horses is a beautiful old thatched coaching inn in the lovely village of Brixworth. Cosy pub atmosphere, friendly bar staff and several “proper” beers on tap,and it has a pretty outdoor seating area at the back surrounded by tubs of plants.

We stayed for one night (twin room 2) plus two family members with a double room, in the converted stable block behind the inn Our room was clean, well furnished and comfortable, it had everything we needed including good quality toiletries and towels. Free WiFi , plenty of tea and coffee making sachets etc (Premier Inns, and the like, take note)The cost was £70 a night including breakfast for the two of us which compared favourably with other 4* hotels in the area that I looked at.

Anthea, Les and the staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful, we had booked a table for 4 but they accommodated an extra 3 plus a young baby without any trouble although it was a busy Saturday night and the restaurant area is not huge. The food is not cheap but there were plenty of specials and the food was well cooked and presented.

The cooked breakfast too was great and we were kept topped up with toast and coffee.

I cannot understand why there are some negative comments about the place, are you sure you went to the same Coach and Horses ? We have relatives in Brixworth so will definitely be back.

Where do i start i booked the coach and horses 5 months ago for 3 nights for the moto gp weekend we arrived 8.30 in the evening , We had booked a faimly room and a single room for my eldest son we were expecting a double and 2 singles but we got 3 single beds and the two kids were expected to share aged 10 and 12 when we asked about this we were told she emailed us and told us that the children would need to share a bed ,this is untrue we never received any email if i had knowen we would never booked then we were told they would put a single bed in the following day this never happened we eat there for 2 nights and the food was very good , This has ruined my whole weekend the 3rd bed was a sofa and not a bed we spent over £600 with the coach and horses and at know time did they want to do any thing about it and was ignored over it and the bar man was lefted to deal with us and say sorry he was away when booking was made not a happy man . I emailed them when i got home as i wanted to check facts they text me back and said they were sorry and me and my wife could have a nights stay free if we would be back little to late i am afraid

My Partner and I have stayed here several time now, and will keep coming back, we have friends who live in the village, so a short stroll to and from the pub to their house is great for a good night catching up. The owners Anthea and Les are great, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, the barn has been sympathetically renovated and the exposed beams are lovely.
The breakfast are just amazing.. cooked fresh to order.. Great rooms, Great Food, great service.. nothing left wanting... We will aim to get there early enough on one occasion so we can sample their lunch menu ;-)

Comfortable, well furnished and maintained accommodation in a separate block at the rear of the pub. The owners are very attentive and friendly, the food is freshly prepared and the beer is well kept and presented. A testimony to the CAMRA recommendation. We chose the accommodation due to its proximity to Althorp but remember that Althorp doesn't open until noon. Plenty of time to enjoy the breakfast.

Room Tip: Room 1 has a comfortable settee and a desk. Good wifi throughout the pub and room. Mobile signal i...

We stayed here as we had a family wedding at The Crazy Bear! We were met by lovely staff who showed us to our rooms even though we were early. The rooms were amazing and accommodated 7 of us!! We were also offered a lift by a lovely member of staff down to The Crazy Bear. Could not fault. Thank you Coach and Horses.
