We've just arrived back from an all inclusive weekend away, and I can't say a bad word about this lovely hotel. The night we arrived we had a problem with our booking, but the girl on the desk was so accomodating. She made it so easy to check in and was lovely and polite. We went straight to dinner and our waitress (The amazing Eve) was wonderful. She gave great recommendations for the food, filled our drinks the minute they were empty and made our dinner fantastic. The food was top-notch restaurant quality, no complaints at all. When we got to the room it was quite basic, but very clean. Nice size beds, TV, lots of good lighting (a must for women!) everything you need in a hotel room. The only bad thing was that the rooms are quite hot, which can be a slight discomfort, but not a big deal.

The next morning at breakfast it was more of the same great standard of food...Cereal, fruit, fruit juices, full-english breakfast and tea/coffee and toast to order. Eve was there again and she asked what we were doing with our day, we mentioned that we were going shopping after lunch and she told us about a large shopping centre in nearby Milton Keynes, we said that it sounded wonderful and she was back within a few minutes with a map and postcode for us. Just absolutely above and beyond her job, she's fab!

We had lunch in the hotel, this was the only meal that was a slight letdown, although when judged against all the free food and drink we'd had at this point we didn't feel put-out at all. It was vegetable soup and sandwiches with salad. The saturday night was a little busier, however the staff were still fantastic (again, the standout waitress was, by far, Eve) The food was lovely and the drinks flowed freely. We stayed in the lounge until late, the staff were constantly working and friendly, it was a lovely atmosphere even though there was a very raucous wedding going on in the next room that would have tried anyone's patience! The next morning breakfast was lovely again, we had a lazy morning in the hotel and checked out around 12pm.

All in all we had a great time, the all inclusive deal is an absolute treat. I don't think our stay would have been even half as nice without Eve, she's a star and Westone should give her a HUGE payrise! :) Thanks!

Just returned from a two night stay at Westone. Paid just a little extra for a Superior Double - I think that guarantees you a room in the main hotel and not the annexe which from other reviews seems like money well spent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable.
We did the all inclusive deal which is very good value. The meals were lovely, a good choice and a half bottle of wine each.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Yes the place is getting on a bit and in need of a little work (I understand that there is an ongoing upgrade happening in all the Focus Group hotels) but there was nothing really to cause concern.

Overall, great value, really good food and a very pleaant stay.

Room Tip: Go for the superior double - it was only about £5 a night extra.

First impressions were not to bad but not at all like the photos! the hotel it's self is in need of some tlc as it looks very tired from the outside inside not much better. The girl on the desk was very nice after check in I went to my room 117. WELL I hope anyone reading this does not get that room! It smells like an old people's home, it has duct tape holding down the carpet in the door ways, the carpet it's self does not reach the edges and there is lots of dust hair and god knows what lurking in the gaps, the sink had cracks in it and looked like it had been repaired with some sort of filler. Needless to say I made a complaint and was moved to another room. This room did not smell damp thankfully ! And looked like it had been updated within the last 5-10 years. anyone with asthma I would stay way from this hotel as I'm sure the damp and mould would do you no good! If only someone would spend some money on this hotel and fix it's faults to bring it up to a real 3* I think it could be a real quirky hotel.

The room was clean enough, though tired. Warm enough, quite quiet. Parking was fine. The staff were fine. There was wifi though you need a card from reception (these places never offer, so you have to get to your room, realise it's not free, and go back down and ask....), Breakfast was fine. I got a room for £50 which was good value, but if I had paid the usual £100 they charge I would have felt ripped off, since it's a £65 type typical boring three star box hotel. If I'd brought my wife for a romantic visit I would have been quite gutted!

Good value for money if you get the all inclusive deal. Room was a good size and comfortable with flat screen tv and freeview channels. Food was good and well prepared with a reasonable variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially in reception. Would visit again when in Northampton.
