A large group of us went last night, the menu is simple and well structured. The specials were great too. I had half a dozen oysters to start, with garlic and lemon, followed by the fishcake. Both excellent.
I would recommend this place to anyone, they had steaks on the menu too for those who don't like fish.
Go! That is all!

Made the mistake of eating here, ordered two linguine dishes for £14 each and was served with what I would class as a starter or child's portion. The fish and chips the kids had were bigger! When we queried the portion size we were told it's their standard size.

Food was average at best and certainly nothing to write about, service was pleasant however slow.

But if you're stuck for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night as we were they're are plenty of seats available, now we know why.

We were the first to arrive on Valentine's evening, having booked a table for 17:30. The restaurant is bright, clean and tastefully decorated. The owner greeted us and was extremely friendly. The service was expedient and friendly and the courses were brought to us in perfect intervals.
I had the smoked crevettes for starters and these were beautifully cooked. The main of seafood risotto was perfect (I am fussy with both risotto and fish!) and second-to-none. My fiance had the scalops with black pudding starters and also cannot fault it. He had the fish-and-chips and was 100% happy with it, remarking that the tartare sauce was the best he has ever tried. All the food was fresh and cooked to perfection.
We would both recommend and return to this restaurant!

Excellent service and the food is OK. The layout is fine if you're a fan of Harry Ramsden's but the main problem is it's overpriced and the atmosphere for a Saturday night was low-key. I had the prawn and chilli linguine which tasted good with the right amount of chilli but it was not a main course plate of food. It needs to drop a couple of pounds off it's pasta dishes or increase the portion size. And serve scallops when advertised in a dish, not just one. Making the table layout a little less regimented would also help. The negatives are offset to a great extent by very good serving staff.

This was a before-theatre dinner and we told them at the beginning. It was our first visit and we were delighted with the food especially the fish and chips. My wife and the muscles and said that the source was quite rich and not really "mariniere" - more "moules a la creme". But it was delicious food, all the same and not too expensive.
This service, was slow, and they knew that we had not got much time. We have been to many restaurants where this is the normal speed, but they do speed up when they are asked to. In this case it seemed not to be possible. Quite frankly, I suspect they did not have enough staff.
We would go back, for certain - but we would make our feeling known if we felt the service was slowing down.
