Description: The Sun Inn at Hardingstone is a traditional pub at the heart of Hardingstone village. The pub has the perfect mix of traditional decor with a modern twist, which is also reflected in our food dishes. With indoor seating areas, patio garden, outdoor children's play area, function room and dining space, the Sun Inn at Hardingstone is an ideal place for friends and family to relax, unwind and enjoy great food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere. Our menu provides traditional pub food with specials varying on a regular basis, providing customers with a variety of options. We stock a fantastic selection of largers, ales, wines, spirits and soft drinks and for our customers who enjoy Real Ales, we have 6 on offer - 2 of which are usually local brews. In the colder months, the traditional fire places are very warming and for some, a choice of 'Whiskey tapas' is the perfect remedy. Our motto is 'There are no strangers here only friends who have not been introduced'. Also, don't forget to pick up our McManus loyalty card to receive the best drink deals, restaurant deals and other special offers.

We were a party of four.(family)We ent to the sun on Sunday for Sunday lunch. We all ordered the belly of pork, this came with a small flat individual Yorkshire pudding which was tasteless. The veg carrots calabrese wasn't cooked, very hard.Cauliflower cheese was ok,not enough for four though. The belly of pork was all fat, very little meat,my husband had none just fat.No crispy crackling for any of us.Very poor. The bar staff were very sullen not one smile.Overall very poor!Wont go there again!

Bar maids seem helpful food good feels cliquey at times-we have been there many times well laid out-all the tables reserved on a Thursday night for quiz night-that makes you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as you have no where to sit to eat.landlord always seems grumpy and more business minded than welcoming. If the above was proves this pub would be at the top of my list. 7/10

Was a regular until we moved out of the village about a year ago so went back to meet up with friends to celebrate my partner getting a new job
The Sun is as good as ever, friendly staff, new menu with great food and good selection beers.
Good village pub, would recommend for a good meal and good beer

We went for a family meet up, 6 adults and 3 children, booked a table that was big enough and the food was of good value and very tasty.

I had a jacket potaton which is usually a risk when out at a pub, but it was done really well, well cooked.

This is a good place to go as a family for lunch pr dinner.

Me and the other half often try out new pubs on a Saturday, heard about this one and decided to give it a try. Had to park down the road a bit as it's a busy street, but sunny day so didn't mind, atmosphere felt relaxed and friendly big TV with footy on so that pleased other half. I ordered a dish which was lamb on naan bread it was delicious came with salad and chips big portions. Husband had smothered chilli dog which was also good , didn't look at puddings as too full up. Good selection of drinks. Nice court yard with tables and a small play area , will definitely be back and have recommended already
