“A GREEK ODYSSEY”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

just had my ?th birthday party here and had a fabulous evening. Great food, and as a lover of Greek food was delighted to find it in this corner of Hexham. Mezze really worth sampling.
Service spot on. Cannot praise owners enough - my birthday fell on a non-opening night, but no problem they were happy to open just for us. they even decorated restaurant with flowers from their own garden. Their smiles and good humour made the evening even more special. I'll be back, want to try some of the marvellous lemon meringue pie people raved about.

“Delicious and authentic Greek food with charming service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

My fiance and I are both lovers of Greek food and so we were delighted to find such a wonderful little restaurant when looking for a lunch spot in the heart of Hexham. Tzatziki and hummus served with warm pitta were exceptional, as were the dolmades, warm parcels of vine leaves stuffed with savoury perfectly seasoned rice and served with a thymey olive, feta, onion salad. The vegetarian moussaka was also superb with just the right balance of rich tomato ragu to meltingly soft aubergine, lentils and cheese. If only we'd been staying in Hexham we'd have been straight back several hours later for their dinner menu! The service was utterly charming and attentive. The restaurant also cleverly doubles up
as a tea room during the day with a tempting looking array of home made cakes and biscuits and we ended our meal with two excellent coffees. I only regret that we didn't have room to sample more from the menu!

“Traditionally beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Had a mezze style meal with a latte and welcomed by a waiter with a great smile. The homemade houmous and tzakiki is to die for combined with warm pitta. Had a slice of the known lemon meringue pie that lives up to its reputation. Will come again

Wonderfully friendly welcome, fresh ingredients and prompt service.

Hidden away just off the main market place opposite the Gaol. Sunny terrace and sheltered.
