Absolutely outstanding. A fantastic cottage which was incredibly well equipped, exceptionally clean, warm and cosy. It lacked nothing. There was so much to see and do in the area, a week is hardly long enough. One of our best holidays in the UK ever.

My husband & 2 teenage children stayed at Brackenlea Cottage. The cottage is extremely well equipped and beautifully presented - much thought has been given to the recent total refurbishment and this made for a very, very enjoyable stay. The location is perfect: easy for the coast and for walks in the Pennines. Sean, the owner, always responded promptly to emails and very easy to deal with. Very good experience over all.

Brackenlea cottage is a stunning place to stay. Its location is quiet & peaceful, yet it's only 10 minutes to the lovely town of Rothbury.
The cottage itself has everything you could want and is extremely comfortable. The kitchen has been very cleverly & thoughtfully designed and has every utensil / pan / crockery item that you could need.
On arrival we had a lovely welcome package, allowing us to make a cup of tea & have a biscuit, very welcome after the journey up.
We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area & will definitely stay there again, if ever we're in the locality. We have stayed at many cottages in the past & this one would be in our top three.
