“Must Visit Place for all Walkers”
Reviewed 4 April 2013

Historic place to visit for walking as we know it today and the birth of the National Parks. Views are fantastic and on the right day the wind will push the water from the waterfall back up.

“A great walk for all abilities, but not too strenuous”
Reviewed 13 February 2013

Lovely scenery, but go on a good day because if the weather forecast is in any way poor it can be bitter on the tops. great walking in this whole area and lots of great pubs, inns and other attractions.

“Make a full day of it and come prepared.”
Reviewed 22 December 2012

Even on a fine day come prepared, the weather on Kinder Scout can change in minutes. There are such contrasting landscapes in the area that you will always find new views and walks. The dark peat, rough gritstone and grassy slopes leading up to the plateau.

Whether you take the train to Edale or New Mills or park up closer by in Hayfield there are plenty of places to be fed and watered - just search on Edale, New Mills or Hayfield for a selection of great pubs and cafes.
