Staying at the nearby Double Tree while visiting sick elderly relative we fancied an Indian meal and this was closest, checked reviews and seemed good, so booked. easy to book, confirmed by email. From Double tree was a 4 pound Uber ride so all good. Nice looking restaurant, new, so not a dark cramped little thing. Manager was welcoming and showed us to table. The really special thing about this restaurant is the food. the menu is not the exhaustive page after page of the same old favourites, there are some but focuses in chef's specials. What it lacks in quantity it makes up with quality. There were 4 of us and all tried something completely new, so can particularly recommend the Lamb Chops. I had a lovely King Prawn dish that I cant recall the spelling of, but the point was that each was cooked specially, some clearly slow cooked with tender meat and a rich sauce. this makes a change to the all too frequent stir fired meat with a stock tikka/korma/jalfrezi sauce added technique. As mentioned in other reviews, this restaurant is not licensed so does not sell alcohol. you are free to take your own wine which you can drink with your meal and there is no corkage charge. the restaurant does sell some decent non alcoholic cider and lager which we enjoyed, but there is a Spar convenience store next door with a small range of wine should you want some alcohol but forgot about the drinks. all in all a very good meal.

Having visited the area many times and loving the type of food. It was very tempting to try this recommended restaurant. I was not disappointed. Great service and sound recommendations on choices from the owner. Best lamb chops north of the East End or possibly better. I will be back.

2nd visit and decided to play it safe this time.
Ordered Prawn Puree for starter which ok but the base was far too large and was more like the size of a naan bread!
Main course was lamb vindaloo with plain boiled rice with a keema naan.
Vindaloo was average but quite hot enough. The lamb was chewy and not tender. Rice was ok. The keema naan was stodgy and not the best that I've had.
We go out for a curry twice a week and try many different restaurants and visit the best ones on a regular basis. Sadly this is one of few that we do not come back to. We only come once a year as it's a mates birthday and that's enough for us!!!

Kind people of Lime squeezed me in on a very busy evening. Delicious food and outstanding service. Such subtle spicing on both the dish and the rice
