Staying at the nearby Double Tree while visiting sick elderly relative we fancied an Indian meal and this was closest, checked reviews and seemed good, so booked. easy to book, confirmed by email. From Double tree was a 4 pound Uber ride so all good. Nice looking restaurant, new, so not a dark cramped little thing. Manager was welcoming and showed us to table. The really special thing about this restaurant is the food. the menu is not the exhaustive page after page of the same old favourites, there are some but focuses in chef's specials. What it lacks in quantity it makes up with quality. There were 4 of us and all tried something completely new, so can particularly recommend the Lamb Chops. I had a lovely King Prawn dish that I cant recall the spelling of, but the point was that each was cooked specially, some clearly slow cooked with tender meat and a rich sauce. this makes a change to the all too frequent stir fired meat with a stock tikka/korma/jalfrezi sauce added technique. As mentioned in other reviews, this restaurant is not licensed so does not sell alcohol. you are free to take your own wine which you can drink with your meal and there is no corkage charge. the restaurant does sell some decent non alcoholic cider and lager which we enjoyed, but there is a Spar convenience store next door with a small range of wine should you want some alcohol but forgot about the drinks. all in all a very good meal.
