Our first visit to Caffe Velo Verde on recommendation from friends. What a lovely friendly place! On entry we were warmly greeted by the Barista....Flat white and a CVV coffee special ordered together with homemade Mexican style soup and a sausage bap. Wonderful ! Thanks very much. Will be back for sure.

I now visit Caffe Velo Verde regularly. I do this, because, beyond great service and quality food, there is something extra....

The coffee continues to be top notch; sourced from a local roaster and prepared to the Caffe's own roast specification (CVV49), it never fails to hit the spot. Andy prepares the full variety of options from a Flat White to a Cortado and everything in between, and your drink will always be perfect (unless you want a 'dove in flight' on top, eh Andy...?!). But there is something else....

The food is always home made and locally sourced. The bacon cobs are particularly tasty and never sparingly loaded with bacon cooked to the perfect level of crispyness. My personal (current) favourite is the Pancakes with Fruit and Maple Syrup. Light but satisfying, and ideal as a post- or mid-ride re-fuel. Or of course as an accompaniment to a 'working from home' session.... Jane and the team prepare all of the food, and of course the cakes (Raspberry Granola is wonderful), to be of the highest standard. But there is something else....

The service is great. The team of servers are keen and bubbly, (and a bit cheeky!), and make the whole experience feel like a family meeting! Paul will be bobbing around chatting about cycling, scooters (ask him!), plans for the future, and why CVV49 is the best coffee roast around! Facilities and provision for Cyclists continues to be great, and gets better all the time. But there is something else...

All of this makes Caffe Velo Verde a great cafe for cyclists and non-cyclists alike, but what makes this the best cafe in the region, and my favourite, is the 'something else'....
That something is that everything is filled with Love; Love for the Food, Love for the Coffee, Love for Cycling, Love for customer....

Happy to give the Love back, Team CVV! x

Had heard about this place, and called in on the way to Nottingham on business. The best Coffee and Food by a mile, and lovely friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Highly recommend this place even if it’s off your route, you just have to check it out!

Made light work of serving 65 of us on our Xmas ride, with the usual smile, exemplary service and quality bacon and sausage rolls, tea and coffee. Wonderful place...

Can’t say enough good things about this place! Paul, Jane, Andy and team always make us welcome both as a club and individuals. Today was a huge effort accommodating 60 of us for our annual Santa run on cycles (fully dressed as Santa’s, elves and Christmas trees!) couldn’t have gone smoother from our perspective. Food was excellent, hot drinks and yummy mince pies. By far my favourite cafe in Notts. Thank you and a very happy Christmas to all x
