You know what you are getting with the Premier Inn chain - cheap and cheerful, not in any way luxurious, but equally, you know you will get a clean room, decent bed, a reasonable value meal (if not exactly cordon bleu) and fuss-free surroundings. This Premier Inn is typical of this - a happy friendly receptionist, spacious rooms (amazing at the price), the nearby pub/restaurant was fine (and child-friendly) for dinner. The cooked breakfast was *excellent* and (seriously) would put many four star hotels to shame. The hotel is well situated for Nottingham (particularly either of the universities) and areas south of Nottingham. We would definitely use it again.

Room Tip: The hotel is on a busy road, but even with the windows open (it was a hot stuffy night when we staye...

I booked three rooms at Premier Inn for 2 nights as we needed to be on the south side of Nottingham. We had a twin, a double and a family room between us. All rooms were clean and tidy and our family room was very spacious particularly as there was only the two of us in there. There was a choice of soft or firm pillows and we used one of each which was very comfortable. Our bed was huge and very comfortable until we strayed towards the middle where we were met by a hard ridge as the bed was actually two singles fastened together. The bathroom was clean and tidy and there were toiletries (well known brands) for us to use.
The windows were open and a fan was blowing when we arrived which made the room nice and comfortable. Unfortunately there was quite a lot of noise from the extractor fans in the restaurant next door which meant we had to have the windows closed at night and the fan was too noisy to leave switched on so the room was a bit hot during the night. That said we all managed to sleep quite well and I would add that despite being situated at a traffic island, traffic noise was negligible.
We had an evening meal in the Nottingham Knight restaurant next door which was very good and reasonably priced and although we didn't have breakfast I would recommend a visit there.
The staff were all friendly and efficient from the receptionist who made us feel welcome when we arrived, to the housekeeping staff who all had time for a few words as they worked, and even asked if everything was satisfactory with our rooms; and not forgetting the restaurant/bar staff who served us with a smile.
I would stay here again.

This hotel exceeded my expectations putting Premier Inn up there with some of the more notable hotel chains. Clean, fresh with everything the traveler needs, even to shower gel, which I wasn't expecting.

We would like to compliment the staff for their helpfulness and cheery attitude during our recent stay at this Premier Inn.

We needed somewhere on the south side of Nottingham to stay for one night following a family party. This Premier Inn was close by and had good ratings here, so we made the booking for two rooms.

On the morning of our arrival I rang to ascertain whether we could check in slightly earlier than advertised - no problem we were told. And sure enough when we arrived, the rooms were ready without any fuss - and they were spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped.

We all slept comfortably and the next morning we used the pub next door for our breakfasts, which again were good value.

So, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone needing base for that side of Nottingham!

Nice little budget hotel, though the pub next door is a little disappointing in terms of food quality. This is an issue as there is nothing else around. Having said that, there is a bus stop out the front that will take you into Nottingham in about 20 minutes, if you fancy something fancier.

I wonder what people talk about when they say "the staff". We stayed for one night and all we saw was ONE receptionist at a time. Not that there was room for many other people in the small reception.
This hotel has no character whatsoever nor any good features. The decor looks tired, the hallways are narrow and there is no lift nor help with your luggage, something to take into account if you are not traveling light. There is no fridge in the room and Internet is free for just half an hour.
We paid £62 for a double room, without breakfast. They could not accommodate a third person in any of their rooms and a single one would have been another £68. You call this budget??
This was my first time at a Premier Inn and will try to avoid them in the future, if possible.

I have stayed in many Premier Inns and this one didn't disappoint. All the staff were very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. The lady on reception when I checked in was lovely, friendly and sincere without being patronising. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and comfortable. I had breakfast in the Nottingham Knight next door, great service and food, only tiny negative was that my poached eggs were under done, but everything else was great. Will certainly stay here again!

Room Tip: The hotel is on a busy road, so expect some traffic noise.
