Stayed here as a couple 3 times in the last 6 months. Free parking is a bonus in the city centre area and this hotel is only 15 minutes walk away from the Market Square. Batr staff are always cheerful and helpful, the bar manager even arranged for a bottle of wine to be chilling ready to take to our room when we knew we would be getting back after the bar had closed.
We have eaten breakfast and bar meals here and have not been disappointed which is more than we could say for the Express version in Nottingham centre

Stayed here in room with two double beds on second floor at the rear of the hotel. On booking asked for a quiet room and we were placed at the end of the corridor as far from the lifts as possible. There were lots of people staying for the night whilst partying in town so we thought we may be disturbed. Thankfully, both nights proved to be very quiet, even with the window open.
The room was comfortable, clean and with plenty of wardrobe, drawer space. Usual style bathroom. The bar was very quiet, but that suited us. Breakfast was very good, range of juices, cereals, cold meats etc. together with hot buffet. All the staff we met were very pleasant. We would stay again.

Room Tip: If you are there on a Saturday and need a peaceful night ask for a room at the back and away from th...

I have stayed at this property on a number of occasions over the last several years. I have to say however that its really starting to deteriate. The reception staff seem to get ruder every time I go, and you have the standoff of having prepaid your room, some reception staff still insist on a credit card even though you tell them you will not be having extras. The room temperature is an issue. If you like a red hot temperature room then this could be the place for you, if not you have a choice have an uncomfortable hot room, or open the window and listen to traffic outside. Breakfast, give it a miss. The meat products are becoming very poor standard and its just not worth the money.

Found the whole stay really annoying really.
Double beds when you can have king size cheaper next foor at premier inn.
Receptionist when checking in the first week was rude and didn't even look people in the eye.
2 x receptionists the second week sent be to floor 3 when room was actually on the second floor even after I had checked as it didn't sound quite right but sent me there anyway.
The wifi is charged at over £10 for a 24 hour period which at the price of the room and in 2012 I am surprised its not included.
Towels on one occasion smelled as if they had been dried in a room cooking fried food.
The worst part of it if you are staying on the 1st floor at 6.30 in the morning you are woken up by the cleaners getting equipment out of the closets but banging and crashing in the corridor, walls and doors seem quite thin, you can pretty much hear everything going on.

Ok I suppose if you were paying budget hotel prices but its not on really.

I never expect much budget hotels but I booked very last minute here. In the twin room there are comfy double beds, room is spacious and shower is good. May I note that the room is very quiet. Free parking.

We stayed here in November for 2 nights whilst we attended a rugby match.
We were well received at the reception desk and our rooms were ready for us .
The bar area was good. This hotel whilst not in the centre of Nottingham was not too far away.
Breakfast here was very good and the Evening menu had a good choice.
Enjoyed our stay here.

There was free parking, whereas the Nottingham city Holiday Inn had paid parking. It is opposite a pizza hut and sainsbury and next door to the Premier Inn. Check in was quick enough, although we were 30mins early and our room was not ready. The room was average and clean enough and there were a few marks on the carpet. There was no fridge or mini bar, there was a CRT television (with some satellite channels), coffee/tea facilities, a double bed (seems small if you are used to anything larger) sofa (sofabed), table and chair. The heating control on the wall was not operational-you had to use the dial on the radiator - but it was difficult to maintain the tempreture at a comfortable level - either too hot or cold. Lighting could be improved - 1 bulb wasnt working and neither were 2 lamps that were provided. The bathroom was clean but there was a smell of a damp shower curtain. There was a shower head and hose over the bath tub - it wasn't a power shower. You could walk to town from along the canal but it was about a 25mins walk.
