Hotel is very well located in the centre. Room sizes are small and the noise is not good if you are a light sleeper. We did request a late check-out and advised on arrival we had the late check-out but the next morning we had a phonecall from reception to ask what time we are leaving and then advised it's an extra £10 an hour, this was not advised on arrival very sneaky.
The hotel is okay for one night but I wouldnt stay any longer then that.

Wasn't so keen on having to drag our bags from the car park but found the hotel very well located. The rooms were very small 2 adults and 2 suitcases were enough to fit in our room any thing more should have been left outside, not enough room for my husband and I to get ready at the same time, although the rooms were very clean, shower wonderful, we were a bit cold, and it was noisy hence the earplugs. The mirror light in the bathroom didn't work and there wasn't enough shower gels for 2 people for2 nights.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for spending the time writing your review.

We have a variety of room types which are complimented by our pricing strategy, ranging from our City Pads (Small Doubles) to our Suites.

Our upgraded room types, such as our Executives and Suites are wonderful if you require that extra bit of space and added luxuries.

We hope to welcome you to the hotel again shortly.

This hotel is a perfect location for the city centre. We stayed in a lovely room with complementary soft drinks. Although it is very noisy on a Saturday night this didn't bother us at all. Would stay here again

I stayed in one of the small "City Pad" rooms for two nights in February. The rooms are pretty small (10m squared) and intended for single occupancy - although the beds are doubles and you can certainly fit two people if you want to! The bed was very comfortable and I had two good nights' sleep. The room facilities were decent (they did well to fit a reasonably sized desk into such a small room) and the decor was bright and modern. I had breakfast both mornings; the first day, there weren't enough people to do a buffet, so they cooked me breakfast fresh for no extra charge, which was great. Both the freshly cooked and the buffet breakfasts were good. The hotel is very well located in the Lace Market, close to pretty much everything, and the City Pad rooms are really excellent value for money. Thoroughly recommended for a business trip.

Great hotel located right in the city centre. The arena is 5 mins walk away. Room, although on the small side was clean and comfortable. We were in room 317 which was at the back of the hotel so noise was minimal. Breakfast was delicious abd staff were polite and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is clean and bright with good facilities, recently refurbished.
Located in the city centre near, shops, pubs, bars and restaurants.
Many other reviews have mentioned the noise late at night, this is a real factor, but thankfully the hotel provide ear plugs in the room.
Initially we found this a funny addition, but as we returned from a night out in the city, the noise from the streets all around the hotel was very pronounced and we were very thankful for those ear plugs, which helped us get a reasonable nights sleep.
We did not use the restaurant or bar so cannot comment on what they have to offer.
Reception staff were friendly and very informative. Free WiFi worked well in the room.
You also get a discount car park rate for Fletchers Gate Car Park, the hotel will endorse the ticket before you leave.

I have stayed here 3 times and now stay in the crowne plaza. The small rooms are very small the gym is tiny and if staying on a Wednesday there is some noise at the rear of the hotel where there is a student nightclub close by. The breakfast is good though and staff are friendly.
It's central and the agreement with the car park 100m away costs only £6 overnight.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a larger room as the small room is a 3/4 double pushed in the corner.
