A group of us went for dinner here one Wednesday night. We all ate from the set menu which is really good value at £9.95 for poppadoms & chutney, a starter, main course and rice or naan. The food came out really quickly and was very tasty although the portions were noticeably smaller than you'd normally expect at a curry house. This would be easily rectified by adding some extra side orders though.
When we came to pay however, we were really surprised that a £2 corkage charge had been added to the bill for all of us, despite the fact that not everyone was drinking alcohol and one of our group had even bought soft drinks direct from the restaurant. This charge hadn't been mentioned at any point and the owner seemed surprised that we thought it was unreasonable to charge this to non-drinkers. As the food had been so good, it was a real shame that we left with 'a bad taste in our mouths' as a result. I'd go back again as the food was definitely good value, but I'll be wary of the corkage charge next time.
