Let me give you the plus points first - The hotel staff were on the whole very friendly and did try to be helpful. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast excellent. Sadly it was let down by a number of points: The hotel states that free wifi is available in all the rooms however this is not the case. Our room was at the end of a corridor and by the time you had walked halfway down it the wifi stopped. There was no chance of getting any internet in our room.
If wifi is important to you (and it was to the teenager I was travelling with!) then check which room you're in advance and whether or not it is likely to have working wifi.
We had a good nights sleep until we were woken by a noise that sounded like a helicopter taking off from next to our room. On investigation there was a large cupboard next to our room with enormous pipes that started up (we were told it was the kitchen extractors) at 6am. No chance of a lie in then!
It was a shame these things spoilt what could have been a lovely hotel stay.
