“A bargain”

Can't believe how good this is for 38 euros for a twin. Rooms spacious and well furnished, staff friendly, even has garden. On main tram line so just follow it to reach town and back again. Nice location too. Floors uneven but with 2 lounges and plasmas in the modern rooms its got the wow factor for less than a travel lodge would have cost.

Park hotel was not what we expected. The photos online were very misleading. There was mold everwhere and the room smelled so bad that even the hotel staff put room fresheners around to make it smell better, but it only suceeded in making a flowerly garbage smell.

The bathroom was completly disgusting. both the sink and shower did not drain and we could tell the shower was not cleaned before our arrival--left over supplies from previous customer left in shower along with their long black hair. I didnt even dare walk barefooted in the room because it was nasty. Sheets/blankents were not clean and were dingy-white. Not fresh looking.

Only thing that saved this hotel from a one star was location and breakfast was really good. PLEASE BOOK SOMEWHERE(ANYWHERE) ELSE.

Room Tip: Room 20 was nasty beyond description...

Spent a night at this hotel. Right in the city centre, and very quiet for the area. Lovely hotel, bed very comfortable and very large. Staff were helpful and let us in our rooms earlier. We paid £7.50 for breakfast, that included a choice of continental and english there was a wide variety of food to choose from and it was nice. There is a beautiful park right across the road for a lovely stroll and the trams stop outside horel to centre or you could walk it in 10 mins. Would stay here again, and recommend it.

For £40 I found you got what you paid for with this hotel, if I had paid £80+ (there normal tariff) I would have been quite dissapointed.

Despite being upgraded to a superior room (I see other reviewers got upgraded, maybe just a markting ploy and your not upgraded at all?) it didnt feel very superior and I dred to think what a normal room would have been like. We asked for a double bed, but got two twins pushed together, it was comfy enough however and the room was very clean. The bathroom was very dissapointing and one of the tiniest i've ever used, the tiolet was located directly opposite the wall with so little room for your legs you had to sit sideways on the tiolet, nothing was provided in the bathroom other then hair/shower gel (which didnt smell pleasant!). The shower was ok but again very small. More plug sockets or an extension lead are required in the room as there was only one spare socket in our room. As it is an old house you can hear people walking around and opening doors in the morning but its not that bad.

Unfortunatly breakfast is an extra £7.50 which seems extortionate and should be included in the price of the room in my opinion.

It is good that they can provide a parking permit for guests (on a first come first serve basis) and the hotel is located very centrally to town and opposite a lovely park.

Good value for money for the location you can not beat the price. £44 for a double ten minutes from city centre!
Parking is on a side road and you have to give a debit card to hold a £20 deposit for a permit but I didnt find that an issue!
Rooms were clean but a tad too dusty here and there in "hidden" places!
Bathroom was tiny with just a shower a loo with the basin in the bedroom but the shower was warm and powerful.
Breakfast started at £6 but we did not have it so can't comment anymore on that!
Staff friendly and let us check in and park up earlier than stated booking.
My only "serious" issue was that we ordered a double room and got two singles together (a personal hatred of mine) but the bedding did not fit the beds correcting so had to deal with the bedding coming undone as you move (another personal hatred of mine) however I did have a good nights sleep and the noise considering the location was non exsistant and I am a light sleeper.
Would stay here again.

We booked a standard double room from the Sunday night and checked out on the Friday morning. On arrival our room was upgraded to a King size room which was great.

The staff were friendly and my room was very clean. The king size bed was made up of two single beds but this was not a problem at all, bed was very comfortable.

We were facing the main road which over looked the park which was lovely.

The city centre was a 10 minute walk from hotel and there was alot of restaurants and food places that were within walking distance from the hotel.

We stayed here for business so was perfect for us, would stay again.
