We stayed one night at Ramada as we were attending a wedding reception at Kelham Hall; we had booked in advance the car park for £12. Our room was spacious and it had tea/ coffee making facilities, I was pleased that it had ironing board as I had to iron clothes for the reception.
The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, Ramada Inn was good value and situated in the centre of the town so it was very convenient to explore the town next day.

Hotels bang in the heart of a busy city centre are always going to hve issues to deal with, but after a shocking stay at a different hotel last year, I was pleasantly surprised with the Ramada. All the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was large, clean and comfortable, the lifts worked, the location was tremendous and the breakfast buffet was very good. Sure, I was woken at 2am by some guy yelling in the street but that's obviously no fault of the hotels. I was really happy with my short stay here and would happily return.

Room Tip: Low room numbers are nearest the lifts

This Hotel is very well situated in the center of Nottingham. The price was good value as was breakfast. Breakfast was very competitively priced at under £6:00 it was a running buffet which was well stocked. The room was spacious and well equipped with arm chairs, Tea & Coffee making facilities The only negative I would say was the bed was hard and lumpy try and avoid room 316. You must pre book car parking if required and cost £12 for 24 hours.

The Ramada Hotel in Nottingham City Centre is very well located for the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall, being only a couple of minutes' walk away. Although the hotel overlooks Upper Parliament Street, it has an unimpressive entrance on a back-street. The reception area is small and uninspiring but I found the receptionists to be polite and helpful. There are two lifts to the six floors and they were remarkably quick, with little waiting around required.

On walking into the bedroom, my first impression was spacious with a very wide bed. I found the furnishings and decor to be quite cheerful and of decent quality, although a few pictures wouldn't go amiss. A good-sized TV was provided as well as tea/coffee facilities with biscuits. The mattress was a little hard for my liking and the heating/air-conditioning made a noise but fortunately could be switched off at night. The bathroom was also roomy and reasonably well presented. The usual liquid soap was provided on the walls but this was good-quality Dove soap which was very effective. Overall, I was impressed with the room and felt very comfortable in it.

I took dinner in the hotel restaurant (but not breakfast). The conservatory restaurant was a large pleasant space but the tables and chairs gave it the air of a works' canteen. The menu is reasonable but not extensive. There were only three people eating at the time, but this did not seem to speed up the proceedings. The pizza that I ordered was substantial and good-value, but burnt on the bottom. The cheesecake was also nice but was served with "cream" that had the consistency of milk. So not a bad meal overall, and the waiting staff were friendly and efficient.

For £50 (room only), I thought this hotel represented excellent value and the room would make a pleasant base for even an extended stay in Nottingham.

A pretty basic hotel - more akin to an Ibis or similar
The positive is the free wifi
The (double) room is a reasonable size, and for a one night business stay, the wardrobe space sufficient (no problem with hot water
The shower was good
Room complementary tea and coffee (nescafe and tetley)
Very basic continental breakfast (with rock hard fresh fruit) in a dining room that felt like a motorway service station makes me wonder why I bothered doing B&B and didn't opt for room only and find a nice coffee shop for a fruit salad and decent pastries
No complimentary paper - and the one I ordered was not delivered to the room
So I know which Nottingham hotel I will return to - and it is not this one

Room Tip: low numbers appear to be nearest the lift lobby and door
