We had a hard time finding this hotel because of the way that my iPad map showed the street it's on and the way we entered the city didn't correspond with any of the directions on the hotel website. We found it on the third circuit of the city centre, not ideal as we were hot and tired, but the on-site parking was handy (not recommended if you have a big car - it's pretty cramped). The hotel is an average chain hotel that seems to be part-way through a refurb as the stair carpet changed to an older one partway up to our room on the fifth floor. The room itself was basic but clean and comfortable, the only major problems being that the air conditioning was super-noisy and totally ineffective and the windows only opened a very few inches. Given that this was the end of July, the last really sunny days of the heatwave, we found it very hot and stuffy during the night and I didn't sleep well, a shame as the bed was extremely comfy. There was some noise from the street but that's to be expected in a city centre location and didn't bother us. The only other issue with the room was that the shower curtain didn't contain the water as the shower head was at an angle that meant it ran along behind the taps and onto the floor. This necessitated a mop-up job every time we used it. The ironing board and iron were missing but one was brought to us when I asked reception so that wasn't really too much of a hassle. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient, the room was reasonably priced and the location was extremely handy for the theatre and city centre shops and attractions. The breakfast was extra, at £5.95, but was of good quality for the price apart from the fatty bacon and tasteless coffee. It was a buffet with both cooked and continental options, the highlight being a delicious sausage and very good scrambled eggs. Overall, a hotel that I'd consider using again if on a budget, especially once all the rooms have had a refurb. One thing I'll add is that the man who spends the day sitting on the pavement opposite may be an alcoholic but he's very polite, doesn't hassle people and puts every bit of rubbish in the bin so please be nice to him!

Room Tip: The front of the hotel gets a fair bit of noise from early morning delivery lorries, street cleaning...

Location- in the heart of the city centre of nottingham were you could access shops, cafes, restaurants all outside the hotel.
Staff- Very helpful staff, professional and like to smile. The male receptionist during the day and the male receptionist at night (sorry i do not have their names) are extremley professional and helpful many thanks.
Rooms- if you ask for rooms ending in 01 (e.g. 201, 301, 401 etc.) they are the spacious rooms with very nice views.

spent one night midweek in the ramada with my wife and son (11 yrs old).My boy stayed free as long as he used our bed,the bed was huge so no problem and he got breakfast too.
T he room was clean smart and modern.staff were freindly and helpful .paid extra £12 for parking on site for ease (limited amount of parking bays but other parking near by).
bathroom was fine and smart.breakfast was very nice and plentiful ,paid £59 + parking so all in all a great value stay in a smart city centre hotel.

Room Tip: stayed on 6th floor i think all rooms face same way so cant say which would be better

Ideal place to stay for gigs/ nights out in Nottingham especially if visiting rock city or stealth/ rescue rooms. Quiet despite its location. Large rooms with large beds. Well lit bathrooms. Parking nearby. Reasonably priced.
