Stayed for 1 night. .. hotel is located central to nottingham so great for all the attractions and night life. Room was slightly noisy as we could hear the trams outside which run parallel to the hotel but all in all it was good and clean and the guy (clive) on reception was really helpful when I needed an iron and extra coffee and milk!

The rooms are a little tired and the bathroom fan is one of the loudest I've ever come across! (high pitched whine)

I would try and avoid a room over the cafe tables at the front/side as it is really noisy at night as the shouting of the drunk students returning home (on both nights of my stay) reverberates around the buildings. I didn't sleep well because of this but I have to say that the reception staff were FANTASTIC and immediately refunded by room.

Still the best economy hotel chain by a country mile...

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the car park at the back

I stayed here while attending a concert at the nearby Royal Concert Hall and it was excellent for this purpose being within easy reach of the city centre and in a quiet location. We did find it difficult to get to the hotel and parking is an issue but the accommodation is up to the usual Premier Inn standard and there is a comfortable Costa Coffee Café and thyme bar on the ground floor. Breakfast was lovely. Although buffet style all the hot items were fresh and hot and there was a good selection. Staff were friendly and the team leader Pat was very friendly and chatted to us on number of occasions asking about our concert on the following morning. Would stay again but think we would use public transport due to the parking situation and difficult one way road system as it took nearly an hour to find the place.

Very comfortable Premier inn. Car not really required as a City centre location excellent for visiting Nottingham Trent Uni or the shops. Staff friendly and helpful. We arrived early and found parking in the hotel car park, but car park is very small for the size of the hotel. Only downside is that being in the centre of a university town, the hotel is quite noisy. I would recommend requesting a room at the back on a high floor. Service a little slow in restaurant but staff friendly and food okay. Will stay here again when visiting the centre of Nottingham.

Room Tip: Front of hotel noisy so request quiet room

The title sums it up really. I had tickets for a gig at Rock City and had to be in the area next day for work so booked a room at the Premier Inn. Miracle of miracles it was actually one of the £29 advertised rooms that you see advertised but rarely ever find when you need one.

Plus points :

Good location for Rock City and Trent University
Rooms clean
Bar/restaurant what you expect and need

Cons :

Parking area is small and realistically you will be in the Q Car Park in Talbot Street which is a few minutes walk away
There is little control over room temperature. When I got to the room I noticed the window was open and closed and then went out. Mistake. When I got back the room was up to 24degC and no easy way of cooling it apart from opening the windows but then you get woken early by noise outside.

If you can get a £29 room then you can't really complain but be aware of the parking and leave the window open in the evening when you go out!!!
