“Excellent choice of ales in a lovely old pub with a strong cricket link.”

This pub is located right in the centre of Nottingham. It is deceptively large and like a lot of old pubs it goes back a long way. Lots of nooks and crannies and side rooms. The choice of ale was excellent and we visited on a very hot day so the rear room being cool was very welcome. We also called in on the following night and sat outside. Just as we left some live music started. A great place to visit.

A disparate group of acquaintances ( 75 - 5 years old) met for lunch and the young woman who coped with us all was remarkable in her quick assessment of the situation and very tactful in her dealings with us. She deserves congratulation. Well Done!

Sorry, cannot comment on the beer or other refreshments, if we are in Nottingham in the future we will definitely be back.

Old coaching inn with a restaurant at the rear. The bar area to the right of the entrance was quite small but nicely decorated. Impression was that mosts of the clientele are visitors rather than regulars. Meals are served in the pub area too. The had a good range of beers available and also serve a good bottle of fizz.

I called in on a Thursday lunch time for a quick bite and a pint while waiting for my bus home. I had a well pulled pint of Greene King IPA. As the pub grew a little more crowed I ordered a sandwich. This was delivered quickly and without fuss. Well presented and fresh

Nice traditional pub not quite sure how it claims to be Nottingham's oldest when Ye Olde Trip is there?
