Food and service good, very popular, best to book a table if going at peek times.
Rural approach, cosy inside.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

This is an amazing place, lovely coffee room with nice picnic style tables outside. I'm told dogs are welcome inside as well as outside which is a bonus, although beware the adorable chickens if your dog is very prey driven.

There is a lovely real fire in the winter, the service is great really warm and welcoming

We visited for afternoon tea as a family for my sister in laws 50th Birthday. It was lovely, presented nicely with delicious cakes and sandwiches.

The history of the priory is incredible, I was lucky enough to do a guided tour. A guided walk sheet around the priory tearoom area would be a nice bonus.

Definitely try the beetroot chocolate cake if it is on very nice cake, lovely and moist.

“Birthday party”
Reviewed 30 April 2014 via mobile

We made a booking for a 40th Birthday Party for 40 family and friends. From the first enquiry to the actual party we had a very good experience.
On the day the food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and everyone enjoyed the evening. We were also very fortunate to be given a tour of the Abbey to round off the day. Many thanks to the owner and her staff.

“Amazing hidden gem, Beautiful food”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Only living just down the road in Watnall I am wondering how I hadn't visited this amazing place until only recently.
Since my husband and I discovered the tearooms we have been twice.
On the 1st occasion we had an afternoon tea. Divine! Afterwards we took a look at the old priory and our daughter loved seeing the birds and farm animals.
On our second visit we sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed the Monks Platter. Gorgeous!
Attention to detail and quality is second to none.
Wonderful place and we're looking forward to many more visits in the future.
