“Comfortable Concert Hall”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

Saw the Seekers in concert here on the 1st May which was outstanding. Good front of house facilities and nice bar areas and seating. Large queues for the toilets at the interval though. Although the concert hall is looking a little dated the acoustics sounded great and nice amount of leg room between rows of seats.

“A very pleasant hall”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

This large, relatively modern concert hall has very good sight lines and reasonably comfortable seating now getting a little worn in the most used parts. Bar and circulation areas are spacious and there is a commodious multi-storey car park nearby. The overall good acoustic is slightly compromised under the large overhanging balcony.

“Cats The Musical”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

We went to see the musical cats on saturday and it was really good. Only problem was that the seats in row D were broken and rocked.

“Lovely pre theatre dinner at Circle restaurant”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Lovely meal, a perfect start to an evening at the theatre with desserts served in the interval. Great staff and a lovely add on to the evening.

“Appalling service in restaurant!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Had the misfortune to attempt to enjoy a pre-performance meal along with three others at a recent play.
The play was excellent, but the restaurant service absolutely atrocious!
Arriving slightly early - anticipating an early drink - we found the bar and restaurant abandoned, apart from numerous other deserted diners.
After hanging around for five minutes eventually went downstairs to reception area to inquire on staff and service, only to be told: "There should be somebody there".
Well done Sherlock, I think we already knew that!
When staff eventually did turn up we were pushed into an area near the kitchen door and a very hot radiator and not given the choice of several other empty tables.
No orders for drinks were taken until we protested and the waitresses were very uninterested in serving, helping or paying attention to our needs.
Whomever runs this restaurant or trains and oversees the staff either needs some serious re-training or to find another job.
We attempt to support local performances in local venues, but this sort of appalling service does absolutely nothing to encourage continued support.
It does, however, encourage us to spread the word to others to avoid making the mistake of booking a meal before attending any performance!
