“Gorgeous proper social enterprise”
Reviewed 29 August 2014 via mobile

I have complex allergies but the staff were not phased. I was provided with a gorgeous little snack that was very healthy and homemade. Staff are volunteers and really helpful and friendly. Good healthy food locally sourced at incredibly good value..... perfect

“Adorable”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

This quaint, unassuming cafe was our go to spot for a lazy sunday brunch. Tucked away in a quite corner of Lenton, this volunteer run cafe served wonderful food with even better service. Not only did offer great food, but it was original too. You could spend your afternoon with a bowl of soup, playing a board game or reading a book.
As a vegetarian, I especially loved the unusual dished on offer every weekend, and the seasonal events which it ran.

“Heaven-this place has heart”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

I love this volunteer-run vegetarian cafe, which has a friendly community feeling, used by locals and students alike.. The food is delicious, fresh and cheap. The decor is arty and homemade. A pleasant place to have lunch, or coffee and cake.I think it is also open on Thursday in the evening but have never been.

It is in run-down small 1970s shopping precinct. The cafe has an extra attraction as it ( and subway close by ) were used to film scenes in the Shane Meadow's film This Is England and the area was location for Andrew Haigh's remarkably observed film Weekend.

Last year Crocus Cafe appeared to be sinking with limited opening hours so it is great to see it flourishing again.

“Brilliant cafe located in Lenton, lovely staff and a lot of choice for vegetarians and vegans as well as being healthy. I would”
Reviewed 20 May 2014 via mobile

I discovered this cafe about a year ago, they do a lot for the Lenton community and even offer suspended meals and drinks service. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is just delicious. If your ever in nottingham or lenton I would recommend you visit !

“Affordable eating out...”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

I work in the precinct where Crocus is and I am always served with a warm smile, flexibility around what I want and I have quickly made good relations with the cafe manager and the lovely volunteers. It is a volunteer led community cafe, that is vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options. There is always specials like soup, curry and cakes as well as their standard salads and paninis! They do outside catering and hire the place out for such a small price it makes it accessible to everyone. They also have art exhibitions on the walls and next door at the crocus gallery.. Its definately worth a visit if you are visiting or living in nottingham and should become a regular haunt if you want it cheap, tasty and healthy!
