Popped in this afternoon for a light lunch after a friend recommended The Crimson Tree, and it was wonderful! Greeted by a lovely gentleman who was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich on gluten free bread, came with two delightful side salads. Chuffed! My boyfriend had the ploughman's sandwich, it looked epic - will definitely be trying that next time! Great value for money. Everything a cafe should be and more!

called today for tea and cake after hearing other's talk about this place and it is really nice. We were welcomed by staff who provided a highchair for our toddler and suggested a nice table to sit at and then served at the table. The selection of homemade cakes was amazing and the ones we had were delicious! Our toddler enjoyed a fruit scone (sorry about the mess on the floor!) and the tea was served in lovely china pots. Now want to return to try the breakfast or lunch menu at some point. What a great place, thank you.

Having visited many times for cake we finally made it for lunch, and it was so worth the wait! Beautifully cooked food from a varied menu and daily specials board. Needless to say we had cake as well....who could resist lime and pistachio or lemon and blueberry cake? There's such a lovely relaxed friendly atmosphere in here that you don't want to leave! Needless to say we'll be back.

The Crimson Tree in Sherwood is serviced by a wonderful group with generous portions and grandly flavoured salads. The ham hock is absolutely GORGEOUS and don't even get me started on those cakes (vegan too!!!). Worth as many trips as you can manage. Lovely, friendly, humble place.
