Chose Cripps to stay as visiting my daughter, a Uni student. The accommodation is good value for money. I was in a single bedroom with shared bathroom but this was not a problem as they were clean and the power shower fantastic with a plentiful supply of hot water. Lovely outlook over the Downs and the supplies for breakfast and tea/coffee making facilities were perfectly adequate. There were a few others staying but it was very quiet. The sitting room is very pleasant and there is excellent wireless access. My only criticisms would be that the room and hall carpets needed a good hoover and though the bathroom and toilet were clean, the old left over half empty shampoo bottles gave the impression the bathroom wasn't cleaned (they were still there on the 2nd morning!). At £26 ppn you can't go wrong with this accommodation and the Campus grounds are a delight!

I've stayed at the Cripps Hall Annexe on the main campus of Nottingham University twice and both stays have been amazing. The office staff are extremely helpful and can arrange for you to check in early. The rooms are large, the second time I stayed I even had a balcony looking over the fields on campus. Beds are really comfy and the breakfast is fab. Yes it's shared bathroom, but genuinely never had a problem with them. The power showers are fantastic. The breakfast room is also great, serving continental breakfast, including yoghurts, croissants, toast, cereals, tea, coffee, orange juice and more. There's also a large TV in the breakfast room which is a really good place to meet people before going out, or before lectures (whatever your stay is for). Excellent facilities onsite (as it's a University). Good internet service. Would recommend unplugging the fridge in the room (so loud!) but at £25 a night, what more could you want? It's much better than staying at a hostel and would highly recommend it.

Every October we come in Nottingham for the Robin Hood beer festival and this place is our home!
Clean and the beds are very comfortable. You can use the kitchen and leave it clean for other guests, and everybody will do the same for you!
The staff is very very nice!

I am a student with the Malaysian campus and came here to do some research. Overall, it was a good stay. It is no frills when it comes to services, but the room was clean and efficient. Contact IT beforehand to ensure you will have Internet access as my MacBook had some difficulties. I never did manage to get wi fi on campus, but the ethernet worked in the room. Good spread for breakfast with lots of cereal, breads, and yogurt.
Also check ahead for the bus schedule as you might need to do a bit of walking. The Jubilee Campus is a bit of a hike, but it is a good chance to see the campus's green space.
Happy researching!
