We stayed here for 1 night prior to a hospital operation, which was an early start. Fixed price meal in evening was excellent value. We left too early for breakfast. Everything was excellent except we didn't get our early morning call. Luckily we woke up at 6.10 anyway, but we could have been late for the hospital, that's the only reason to go slightly down to very good. We would use it again, just hope it's not necessary!

A 3 star hotel with good access to Nottingham city centre by foot (15/20 mins) and frequent buses. We walked into town (via the Lincolnshire Poacher on Mansfield Road for a good pint!) and caught the bus back at the end of the night. We requested a quiet room at the back and we got one. A strange layout of the hotel means that you can end up with a long route to the room, but no problem for us. We slept well and had no problems. The price we paid was cheap and there was free parking. The rooms are nothing special but functional and the staff were very friendly. The wifi worked well. We'd stay again if after a cheap break in Nottingham.

Room Tip: We were at the back and it was quiet.

This hotel is a much better option than typical city centre chain hotels. Our twin room was spacious with twin double beds and a proper bath (a rarity these days!) and very clean and modern in style. Other areas of the buildings (there are two joined together) are a little dated, but still clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice and it's also possible to request a few cooked-to-order items. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and anxious to please. Well recommended.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, booked a standard double, when we entered the room it was very clean and decorated to a good standard but extremely small, I am unsure if all the standard doubles are of this size ,would be ok for one night, however it was near the lift and above the bar, so it was very noisy, people up and down the stairs very near to our room , I immediately asked if we could be moved to a quieter room and the receptionist was very polite apologised and moved us straight away to another room, this was an executive room to our delight, I would like to say Thank you once again ! very spacious and much quieter, I would recommend paying that little extra for peace and space. The breakfast was excellent , good choice , worth the money and catered for my special diet, the staff were extremely helpful and always met with a smile. The Bed was however a little too hard but after the family party we attended on the sat, a few drinks helped us sleep better, On checking out we did mention just some minor issues in the room that we were moved , I am sure that these would be addressed. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would return in the near future when visiting family again. Well done Best western again ! on a good quality Hotel.

Room Tip: I would advise a room furthest away from the bar is quieter and away from a lift

I always use this hotel if on business in Nottingham. The same staff are here yearly and in spite of the difficulties, I love the rooms. The disabled rooms are brilliant but there are still quite a lot of steps in order to access. This doesn't put me off as I know that the rooms are so good and bathrooms. . . .more of a suite really. Staff in restaurant - we have got to know over the years and the restaurant is extremely good value. Wifi is usually ok - this time not brilliant!! Parking is the one nightmare and I usually find reception particularly unhelpful and disinterested but they did improve as I CONSTANTLY tried to be nicely persistent!! After my persistence, I was found a disabled space round the back - which, if I had known about for the previous 3 visits, would have made life a lot easier! I will always use this hotel if in Nottingham!

Room Tip: I think it was 102 or 101 - excellent!!!

We stayed here for 1 night on a brief visit to Nottingham. We had a standard double room on the ground floor and although we spent minimal time in it it served its purpose perfectly. Clean and tidy with a good sized bathroom and a bath. Very comfortable bed and despite facing the main Mansfield Road there were no problems with noise. We have stayed at this hotel many times before and it is one of the first we look for when we visit Nottingham. Bar area, although small, was comfortable and clean with drinks available 24 hours. The restaurant had a bargain 3 course meal with a glass of wine on offer at £13.95 which was delicious. Reception and restaurant staff all excellent. The hotel is situated right by bus stops where you can catch one of the very regular buses to the city centre, a journey of about 5-10 minutes. A perfect stopover at a bargain price of £45 room only.

Room Tip: Although the hotel has a lift there are a lot of stairs up and down to some rooms. If you have probl...

Stayed one night whilst in town for a gig, booked a single room and wound up in 304, a small room with a double bed and a rather large bathroom. Room was very clean and tidy, only major complaint was that it took about 5 minutes for the shower to get hot! Room overlooked the rear of the property, which was actually some houses. Was a noisy place as a Christmas party was on downstairs, but to be expected in mid-December. Bus stop is just outside the hotel, all day bus rides for £3.40, cannot beat that, also free parking and wi-fi at the hotel. Breakfast was £9.50, decent selection, but felt expensive for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, I did not see any other breakfast options within an easy walk, although a pub across the street does lunch and evening meals, there is also a convenience store and Lidl within 2 minutes walk, so you have snack and cold meal options near enough.

Will certainly stay here again if I return to Nottingham, this property was a tremendous value for money at under £41 for the room!
