Stayed for one night, to meet relatives next day. Everywhere was spotless, pleasant staff, brilliant breakfast choice and quality. On a main road but didn't spoil our stay, quiet and warm rooms. Would definately stay there again if need be.

The hotel room was average, very dated and musty but it did the job. The restaurant was atrocious! Service was the worst I have ever come across and the staff were bordering on rude. They made every effort to avoid any kind of eye contact so it was hard to get their attention. The food was bland, tasteless and extremely over priced. There was no vegetarian option for breakfast which was also bland and I found a short dark and curly hair on my Bacon! Again no apologies from staff. Would not visit again.

Perfect hotel for a trip planned by my partner. I was racing a race day in Derbyshire and decided to book this hotel. Staff were brilliant and breakfast was superb!

We stayed at the Best Western Westminster hotel in Nottingham over the weekend. We'd originally booked using Tesco tokens, but given the warm weather I called on the day we travelled to ask for our rooms to be upgraded to some with air-conditioning ... which was no problem for them, and we had two lovely rooms. 302 is very large - king size bed, plus 2 sitting areas (top floor of the tower on the corner if you look at the pictures of the hotel). 301 was a very large twin and very comfortable for our two teenages. They were right across the landing from each other, and very private, as they were the only two rooms up there. Both ensuites were lovely and had showers that also doubled as steam baths (we didn't have time to test those). The air-con was a bit tricky to get going, and in 301 the condensation dripped such that we had to put a towel across the top of the wardrobe to catch the water. In 302, there was a regular buzzing noise - about once every 4 mintues! - while the air con was on (so we thought that was the cause) But it continued when it was off, and was also there again in the morning. Made sleeping a bit difficult till you got used to it. We never did work out where the buzz came from, but it was a similar sound to someone turning on one of those large flourescent lights. Traffic noise in 302 could be a problem if you're not used to that. Breakfast was fine and plenty of it ... though the scrambled eggs were a bit rubbery. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, but the staff we came across were lovely. Watch out - the restaurant closes at 9pm, so don't arrive late and hungry.

For the life of us,we could not get the air conditioning unit to work consequently we had to sleep with the windows open for some cool air, difficulty sleeping due to emergency vehicles with blues and two's blaring out. The curtains came off the track but that was put right the following day. After a long day walking i fancied a steam shower, followed the instructions and that didn't work either. The television, which belonged in a museum, when you were watching a channel you could see ghosting of channel 5 in the background.filled out the "customer satisfaction form" and was surprised that the pen worked.
The breakfast wasn't all that good,i don't think the eggs were free range because i have never seen that colour of yellow
all in all i am so glad that we "upgraded" to a superior room i dread to think what the other rooms were like
definately no a BEST western
if the management read this and say i should have brought these problems to their attention ...i shouldn't need to, there was nothing wrong with my payment i should expect the same from yourselves, on this occasion you fell well short

My wife and stayed at Best Western Westminster Hotel Nottingham for 2 nights over the Easter Weekend as we had booked to see the Musical Blood Brothers at the Royal Theatre Nottingham. We found the reception desk to be friendly and efficient whilst booking in to our room, and what a room we were allocated, room 203 was massive I have never stayed in a larger room on all my travels, and although we had a room which was at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road we could hardly hear the traffic as the double glazing was very good. Because we spent most of our time out and about during our stay we only ate breakfast and enjoyed the buffet style of service, the variety and content of breakfast was just to our liking as my wife and I are not the fussy types but we enjoyed the quality we received. We traveled into Nottingham by way of the nearby park and ride tram service. This appeared to be a popular and busy hotel, which attracts oversea visitors as well as home visitors, and in addition ice hockey finals were being held at Nottingham arena and this also attracted many supporters.
This hotel served our purpose well for a couple of nights stay, and would not hesitate to return again.
